For the next two weeks, Felicia enjoyed a comfortable life. She attended classes, read in the library, and occasionally treated patients at the medical center. Undisturbed, she earned a healthy profit. She hadn't contacted the Fuller family since the engagement banquet.

Following the banquet, Matthew had fallen ill from anger and remained unwell. Kayla had been returned to the Fuller residence. At the banquet, Kayla had slashed her wrist in despair. Arnold had rushed her to the hospital, arriving just in time to save her life; thirty minutes later would have been too late. Dexter and Myra had received a photo of Kayla's wound and her final message. They left the banquet, Sebastian driving alongside, and encountered Arnold carrying Kayla at the hospital entrance. Dexter used his influence to clear the roads, ensuring their swift arrival. Kayla received seven days of treatment before returning home to recover. Her past actions were forgiven, Myra's sympathy outweighing any desire to punish her.

This was precisely what Felicia had expected. Dexter, Myra, and Sebastian focused entirely on Kayla, neglecting Felicia completely. It was perfect; she savored her peace.

One day, as Felicia left school for the medical center, a van screeched to a halt before her. Intrigued by its familiarity, she paused. Before she could react, several men emerged, surrounding her. The last man, limping, approached with a sinister smile.

"Surprised to see me? I'm back!"

It was Lance. He had previously attempted to abduct Felicia, an incident disrupted by an encounter with international fugitives. During the ensuing chaos, Lance sustained a foot wound. Stephan rescued Felicia while Lance and his accomplices fled; Lance's wound became infected. He blamed Felicia and, upon returning to Khogend, sought revenge.

Felicia raised an eyebrow, feigning sympathy. "You just returned to Khogend, and you think you can find me without knowing the situation?"

Lance sneered. "My return is irrelevant. Ms. Fuller, don't try to intimidate me. We settle this today. I intend to kill you today!"

"That does matter," Felicia replied calmly. "Even Melvin would show me respect. What are you?"

Lance laughed. "Such arrogance! Melvin, the one who wanted me dead, would show you respect? Preposterous!"

Laughing, Lance produced his phone. "But thanks for the reminder. Before I deal with you, I'll inform Mr. Chavez. His pleasure might earn me more rewards."

Felicia remained calm. "Do as you wish. Just don't cry after calling him."

After a few rings, Melvin's voice, uncertain, filled the phone. "Lance? You're alive! Where have you been?"

"Mr. Chavez!"
