Listen to this chapter:

Felicia's heart skipped a beat. Turning her head slowly, she saw Stephan's face; his thick, arched brows and deep, dark eyes exuded intensity. Gazing down, she noticed the scratches she'd left on his well-defined collarbones. Mostly covered by the blanket, she left Stephan almost naked, his muscular chest and slender waist completely exposed, showcasing a strikingly handsome body. Felicia gulped.

Stephan's figure was breathtaking, surpassing any male model. His broad, perfectly proportioned frame, accentuated by underlying muscles, was undeniably captivating. It was perfectly understandable that she hadn't controlled herself the previous night.

Felicia's eyes roamed over him again, then she forced herself to calm down. "I helped you out once, and now vice versa," she said. "Funny how things work out."

Stephan was amused. "What? Are you trying to change the subject?"

Felicia straightened. "What do you mean? I'm just saying we're even. Neither of us owes the other anything."

"Oh really?" Stephan slid his hand beneath the covers. Felicia shivered at the icy contact, a jolt of electricity shooting through her body as his fingers moved. Her eyes widened. "Youโ€ฆ"

Stephan smiled. "That's not what you said last night when you were begging," he reminded her. "Are you trying to act like nothing happened? It's too late for that."

Felicia opened her mouth to explain, but before she could retort, she was disoriented by his hand. "Ughโ€ฆ" She realized there was no escape.

After another intense encounter, Felicia collapsed, exhausted and unable to move. Stephan even helped her shower.

By the time they were dressed, the sun had risen. Stephan helped the starving, dizzy Felicia downstairs. The dining table was set with delicious dishes. Having stayed over half a month, Felicia knew Stephan's private chef provided exceptional food. She eagerly began to eat.

The only downside was the loss of her backpack during last night's kidnapping by the Lawson family. It contained several expensive bottles of herbal remedies.

Felicia gritted her teeth. The entire Lawson family was trash. She would take them down when she had the chance.

Stephan, reading her expression, smiled slightly. He didn't mention instructing his people to seize the Lawson family's largest mine and two oil fields the previous nightโ€”a significant blow, but not enough. He planned to target their gold mining investments next.

"Mr. Russell, Mike Lawson is here. Should I let him in?" A subordinate approached, glancing at Felicia before bowing. "He said he's here to apologize toโ€ฆ Ms. Fuller." Felicia's ears perked up.

The Lawson family was trash, but she held a good impression of Mike, who had helped her before. But what difference did amends make? She lacked the power to take down the Lawson family now.

Felicia remained silent. Given Stephan and Mike's relationship, Mike usually entered without question. However, after last night, it was best to make him wait.

Stephan nodded slightly, signaling to let Mike in.
