Listen to this chapter:

Felicia casually reached into her pocket, brushing her fingernail against a small porcelain vial. Inside, two specially bred venomous creatures stirred, reacting to the subtle vibrations. Unnoticed, she lounged on the plush couch, appearing completely at ease. With a languid tone, she issued orders to Maurice's men.

"I'm hungry. Bring me something delicious. And I'm thirsty. I want freshly squeezed juice—no boxed stuff."

Their irritation was palpable, but the men obeyed. Maurice casually waved a hand before wheeling himself into the private cabin. "Take care of Ms. Fuller. Don't let anyone slack."

The door closed, silencing the room. One of Maurice's closest men, his excitement barely contained, whispered, "Mr. Glovers, if this girl can really fix your legs…"

Maurice's smile was cold, his voice calm yet menacing. "If she succeeds, all the more reason to ensure she doesn't leave here." His tone softened, chillingly. "We'll keep her for now. No harm in letting the goose lay a few golden eggs before we cook it."

Back in the cabin, Felicia enjoyed her newfound status, nibbling on premium dishes and sipping wine worth a fortune. Life was good.

Suddenly, a loud clatter echoed from the cabin's far end. She turned to find herself staring at a disheveled Harvey. They both spoke simultaneously: "What are you doing here?"

Felicia's surprise was fleeting. Maurice must have stopped at Harmony Medical Center. He wouldn't have come to Khogend just for her without seeking treatment. Harvey, the useless fraud, had likely boasted about his skills and failed miserably. This was his retaliation. Served him right.

Felicia rolled her eyes and turned away.

Harvey, however, was furious. Seeing Felicia's opulent comfort fueled his rage. "I knew it! You're in cahoots with them, aren't you? Did you send that cripple to the clinic? Did you start the fire?"

Felicia froze, completely unprepared. "What fire? What are you talking about?"

"Don't play dumb!"

Harvey, unconscious when thrown onto the plane, knew nothing of what transpired. He believed Felicia orchestrated everything—the sabotage, the fire, his abduction.

"You and that cripple are working together! You sent him to Harmony Medical Center to cause trouble, then burned the place down! And now you've kidnapped me!"

As Harvey's accusations flew, Felicia pieced things together. Her suspicions were correct—Maurice had visited the clinic, and Harvey had talked too much. That must have triggered Maurice's infamous temper. But a fire? Was Harmony Medical Center burned down? Her brows furrowed. The thought of Clive, his health already fragile, hearing about the destruction of his life's work, filled her with dread.

Lost in thought, Felicia didn't notice Harvey's simmering fury. If his hands weren't bound, he would be pointing an accusatory finger in her face.

"Harmony Medical Center was Dad's legacy! And you destroyed it, you heartless monster! You're a disgrace!"

Without a word, Felicia picked up her wineglass and flung its contents at Harvey's face. The red liquid splashed over him. He froze, then exploded in even greater rage.

Unfazed, Felicia set down the empty glass. "Harmony Medical Center went down because of you. Don't drag me into your mess. Just because you have something to say doesn't mean you get to lash out at everyone."
