Listen to this chapter:

The car door opened automatically, and Felicia stepped inside. "Mr. Russell, bye-bye," she said. Maurice, that mad dog, laughed uncontrollably, even blowing a kiss as the car sped away, leaving Stephan looking as if he wanted to kill him.

Furious, Stephan ejected his driver, taking the wheel himself and slamming the accelerator. "Stephan!" Johanna cried, diving into the car before he could leave. A powerful inertia threw her around the spacious backseat; before she could buckle her seatbelt, she tumbled until she finally managed to steady herself and fasten it, shaken and terrified. He was driving far too fast! The speedometer surged from 110 mph to 125 mph to 160 mph. The car swerved increasingly wildly, but the Lincoln, speeding up as well, stayed close. The two cars chased each other. Stephan, seemingly oblivious to his passenger, kept his foot hard on the gas, attempting to overtake the Lincoln. They were approaching a curve; just as a large truck appeared in the opposite lane, Stephan swerved sharply, forcing his way between the Lincoln and the truck, narrowly avoiding a collision.

Johanna, her face pale, screamed, "Ah!" At this speed, a single mistake could be fatal. Maurice clicked his tongue, looking meaningfully at Felicia. "You really are Stephan's weak spot," he said slowly. "Look how crazy he is." She was speechless. Who could rival Maurice in madness?

She glanced in the rearview mirror at Stephan's reckless driving. Her palms clenched; things were completely out of control. She called to the driver, "Pull over!" The driver remained silent.

Maurice snapped his fingers, smiling. "This isn't exciting enough. Adam, pin the car behind to a stop." Adam immediately turned the wheel sharply to the left. The two cars nearly collided, sparks flying as their bodies scraped. But that wasn't enough. He aggressively turned the wheel again, completely blocking Stephan's car. The road was narrow, and another vehicle approached from the opposite direction.

Boom! The loud crash echoed. Stephan's luxury car was sent flying several meters. The Lincoln, with its considerable advantage, sped away arrogantly. Felicia turned back; Stephan's car was almost unrecognizable, and she couldn't imagine the extent of the injuries inside. A dull pain hit her as she belatedly grasped the gravity of the situation. From the street race to the forced stop and the high-speed chase, everything had happened at over 160 mphโ€”too fast for anyone to react.

Maurice clicked his tongue, stroking his chin and sighing. "That was a brutal crash. I hope Mr. Russell isn't dead." A fist landed on his face. It was Felicia. "You're the one who's dead! Pull over!" she roared, grabbing him by the collar, her eyes fierce. He licked blood from his mouth, feigning indifference, then delivered another blow. "Mr. Russell is famous for his driving skills. He could have easily turned the tables on me. If he'd been more ruthless and forced me off the road, my car would have flipped. But he didn't. I guessโ€ฆ it's because you're in my car. He couldn't bring himself to do it. Hahaha."

He laughed heartily, clearly enjoying his victory. Felicia felt as if she'd been struck by lightning; a sharp, suffocating pain gripped her heart. She gave Maurice one last cold look and, without hesitation, opened the car door and jumped out.
