Chapter 50

Isabel said with certainty, "Yes, I am. Roger and his team are so arrogant. We must take them down a peg."

Simon couldn't help but worry. "But… can you do it?"

Meanwhile, Isabel's dashing figure straddling the motorcycle flashed across Phillip's mind, and he was very impressed. Isabel said, "Chill, I wouldn't volunteer if I wasn't sure, Phillip. We're running out of time. Find me a suitable helmet and equipment."

"OK," Phillip replied immediately, already on it. Thinking of her dashing figure, he had faith in her.

Simon tried to stop Phillip. "Phillip, come on. How could you be so reckless, too?"

"Simon, have some faith in her," Phillip retorted, going to find the equipment.

Blake looked at Isabel and said, "I believe in Isabel, too." He thought, I know Isabel is always capable, and she won't do anything she isn't sure of. But I'm surprised she knows how to ride a motorcycle. Though she's my fiancée, there's a lot about her that I don't know.

Soon, Isabel changed into her equipment. Most of the racers were men, so the equipment was designed for men only. However, it suited her perfectly, which was surprising.

"Isabel, I believe you, but just be careful, okay!" Phillip said, worried.

"Chill," she nodded.

Blake came over and hugged her. "Be careful. I'll be worried."

"Wait for me at the finish line," she said to him, then walked out of the tent.

Simon and the others were very nervous, their eyes fixed on the big screen. Although Blake looked calm, he was as worried as they were. He genuinely worried that something might happen to Isabel.

Isabel arrived at the starting point. The racers couldn't recognize each other because they were wearing helmets, but the backs of their racing suits were marked with their team names. When everyone saw that Isabel was from Phillip's Immortal Fleet, they all cast disdainful glances at her. Apart from Phillip, none of the Immortal Fleet members performed well that day, so they figured they didn't have to take her seriously. In their eyes, since Phillip's Immortal Fleet didn't even make it to the finals, she was just there because of the rules.

Soon, Roger brought his men over proudly. Seeing him, his fans cheered loudly. Tyler's men called out to the crowd, "Come on! Last-minute bets! No changes once you've placed them. Everyone, hurry up. The contestants are in position!"

"Hey, listen to me and bet on Roger. You're bound to win a fortune," someone whispered.

"How do you know?" another person asked.

The person grinned. "It's inside information. You'll regret it if you don't follow my advice."

Overhearing their conversation, Tyler, who had been staring at the betting table, looked up and glanced at the big screen. The moment he saw the figure, he spat out the grass in his mouth. He thought, Holy crap! Isn't that… Isabel? I remember her performance back then. It's deeply engraved in my mind. And of course, I'm familiar with her figure. Especially her eyes. The firm look in them tells me it's definitely her. She actually races again! It's been years. I'm so glad I came here today. I'm going to make a fortune!

With that thought, he checked the crowd's bets and saw that most of them were on Roger, and a few on other racers. No one had bet on Isabel. He walked over and placed his chips on Isabel's codename, BB. "I'm betting on BB," he said.

A person beside him burst into laughter. "Who's BB anyway? You actually bet on a nobody? You better change your mind before it gets too late!" The person didn't know who Tyler was and thought he was a layman.

Yet Tyler didn't say anything. He thought, "The less people bet on Isabel, the more I'll win. After all, I'm the dealer. Besides, I'm betting on Isabel to show my support. She's my most admired boss. Of course, I've got to support her. I'm her only true fan, and these people are nothing but stupid. They'll soon know how good she is."

As the gun fired, the race officially began. The motorcycles sped forward with Roger taking the lead. As he had planned, the two racers he had arranged were always by his side, protecting him.

Isabel and the others came to the first bend. There were eighteen bends at Hillcrest, which made the race very difficult. With a motorcycle 1000 horsepower bigger than hers next to her, she took a defensive stance to prevent others from overtaking her. After she passed the first bend, the motorcycle reached fifth gear with a tail speed close to 240. As she approached the second bend, she quickly shifted down four gears. Sticking to the inside of the curve, she accelerated out of the second bend. After successfully navigating several curves in this way, she had already left half of the participants behind.

Jacob followed closely behind Isabel. Having witnessed how she handled each bend, he suddenly felt immense pressure. He had been trying his best to catch up, but every time, she defended perfectly, giving him no chance at all. As they approached the eighth curve, an unidentified object, seemingly a rock, appeared on the road. With her sharp reflexes, Isabel immediately dodged it. Her guess was correct; it was likely placed there intentionally by someone ahead. Jacob, who was trailing behind, didn't notice it. He tripped, lost control, and fell. He cursed under his breath, got up, and looked down. He wasn't hurt. Frustrated, he kicked the ground hard. But now, he could never catch up with Isabel.

After several more turns, Isabel caught up with Roger and his team. Seeing her (and understanding her intent), Roger's men immediately rode forward to stop her. But she dodged them deftly, and they didn't even get close to her motorcycle. Stunned, they realized she was pretty good. Their plan fell through, and she had already left them behind. Now, only Roger was in front of her.

Everyone in front of the screen was on the edge of their seats.

"Is this Isabel? For real?" Simon couldn't believe it was Isabel at all. She rode so neatly and swiftly.

Phillip and the others were thrilled. Phillip said, "She's amazing! I didn't expect her to be so good at this." Blake squinted at the screen. He didn't expect Isabel to be so outstanding either, thinking, She truly is a treasure.

Chapter 50 (Continued)

Meanwhile, those who had placed their bets were watching the screen intently, too. Those who bet on Roger were very nervous.

"Is that BB? She's so good at it. See how she's been gaining on Roger all the time?" someone exclaimed.

Some were confused. "I've never heard of her before."

Another echoed, "Me neither. Who is she? Immortal Fleet has…"

Someone retorted, "No matter how good she is, she can't beat Roger. Roger is the best." They kept discussing.

Tyler crossed his arms, cocked his legs, and glanced disdainfully at the group beside him, thinking, "You're all so stupid."

At this time, there were only the last two bends left. Seeing Isabel pressing closer and closer, Roger thought, Isabel, you asked for it. Don't blame me.
