Gianna emphasized each word as she spoke. “Where were you when Caleb was on the brink of death due to his rare blood type? Ever since Caleb was released from prison, how many harmful things have you done in the name of loving him? Even when he was at his wit's end, wanting to start a new life somewhere else, you wouldn’t allow it! In terms of family influence, the Sherman family might not match the Quixall family. But at the very least, we would never oppress a person who’s already down and out. Caleb’s imprisonment was nothing more than a lie. He took the fall for Jesse and unjustly spent five years in jail. After saying all that, Gianna was left panting for breath. She truly couldn’t comprehend how Caleb had ended up with such a family.
Despite it being clearly George’s fault, he stubbornly refused to admit his mistake. He even dared to attempt to blame others for it. Gianna was taken aback by the unexpected kindness. “Thank you…”
Chelsea responded with a gentle smile, then turned her gaze toward the others. “Mr. Quixall, if I recall correctly, the contract between you and my mother hasn’t expired yet, right? Mr. Jenkins is currently a fugitive. I can take him in at any moment, can’t I?”
Everyone in the room, except for George, wore a look of confusion. At the same time, Gianna anxiously said, “Ms. Yardley…”
