John, enraged, smashed the viewing room after discovering Hasan and Presley's escape. He glared at the others, threatening, "I'll kill you all if you dare run away!" They immediately vowed to stay, though privately regretted not leaving with the first group. Their anxiety mounted as the dispatched helicopter circled the dense forest above.
Unable to spot Evangeline from the air, the helicopter landed in a clearing and nine armed men parachuted down. Evangeline, perched on her white tiger, heard the approaching helicopter. Spotting the descending men, she silently unleashed a volley of arrows from Jeffrey's bow. Her skill was undeniable; every shot found its mark, hitting her targets while they were still airborne and unable to defend themselves. They landed incapacitated, their wrists and ankles shattered, leaving them completely helpless.
Evangeline collected their weapons—five MP5 submachine guns, two AK74M rifles, and two P99 pistols—then laughed. "Flattered you spent so much on me," she mocked. "But did you really think I wouldn't hear you land?" She removed their bulletproof vests and helmets before returning to the base with the spoils, riding her tiger.
Jeffrey's hope, and the hopes of John and the five remaining men in the viewing room, instantly evaporated. Their expectation of a swift capture had been spectacularly upended.
"Idiots!" John exploded. "They landed too close! They helped her!" Another man added, "They wanted speed, but forgot she'd strike first." "Send another group," John growled, "but warn them to land further away. This time, fifty experienced operatives. Her story ends now!"
Relieved, the others believed even Evangeline couldn't withstand fifty armed men. Once the immediate danger passed, Evangeline hunted with her tiger, easily capturing prey, though the large cat required a substantial amount of food. After two hours, they secured a deer for lunch. Evangeline roasted it, sharing the meal with Marian before feeding the charred remains to a terrified Jeffrey.
Meanwhile, John’s second wave of operatives circled the mountains in fifteen helicopters, planning a distant landing to avoid detection. This tactic, however, provided two days of travel time. Their only choice was to remain far from Evangeline to avoid becoming easy targets. John hoped for mission success, regardless of time, as Evangeline would remain stationary, torturing Jeffrey until she killed him.
They finally selected a landing zone, but as they parachuted, surrounding mountain snipers opened fire, silencing them before they hit the ground. The helicopter crew, unaware of the ambush due to the snipers' silencers, continued the descent until noticing the lack of adjustments to the parachutists’ trajectories. The remaining men refused to jump, ordering the pilot to return. Before they could escape, dozens of bazookas obliterated all fifteen helicopters.
Meanwhile, a young man, Dexter, fed fish in a tranquil courtyard. An assistant approached, reporting on Evangeline’s situation. "No need to retrieve her," Dexter replied softly. "Resume the livestream after she's finished having her fun."
