Listen to this chapter:

Samson suddenly crouched, gripping Meghan's neck and glaring at her with bloodshot eyes. He hissed, "To protect you, I was scratched by monkeys and got a high fever. Yet, you ignored me all night. The next day, you lied, claiming you saved me and turned me against my savior!"

He continued, "I was injured in the river and couldn't get ashore. You not only ignored me, but prevented others from helping! Did you want me to die?" Immense anger consumed him.

He attributed Meghan's drastic change in temperament to being beaten by Evangeline and facing hardships in the wild, leading to significant mental disorders and personality changes. However, Meghan not only disregarded his life but seemingly wanted him dead. This shattered him. He couldn't believe the sister he'd doted on for years was so vicious. He felt he'd never truly known her.

"Meghan," he gritted, "why are you so cruel? The Gallagher family raised you; I've been kind and given you everything. To protect your feelings, I avoided Evangeline after she returned home, fearing you'd feel left out. Is this how you repay me? Haha! You want me dead? I've always been kindest to you, yet you want me gone? You ingrate!"

Meghan's face reddened from being strangled, tears streaming down her face. She struggled against his grip, but he was too strong. She could only shake her head and plead with her eyes.

Samson snarled, "You stole Evangeline's credit, pretended to be my savior, and even tried to kill her! You manipulated me, pretending to save my life, and urged me to cover for you. You vicious woman! You ingrate! I'm going to kill you! You scumbag! You don't deserve to live!" Blinded by rage, his grip tightened, his glare menacing. It seemed he would strangle her. Meghan's eyes rolled upward, but he wouldn't release her.

No one could remain calm discovering a loved one had been manipulating and intending to kill them. Possibly due to lack of oxygen, Meghan lost control of her bladder. Urine soaked the floor, the stench spreading instantly. Evangeline moved away in disgust.

Someone remarked, "[Samson has finally seen Meghan's true colors!]" Another exclaimed incredulously, "[Meghan even asked Samson for help? Does she think he's a fool? Her actions are exposed. She toyed with and manipulated him for six days, deceiving him and wishing him harm. How dare she ask for his help?]"

Another added, "[Among those on stage, Samson probably wants Meghan dead most. How dare she ask for his help? Shouldn't she be avoiding him?]" A viewer commented, "[Neither side deserves our sympathy.]" Someone in the audience said, "[Samson brought this on himself. If he'd been kinder to his sister, he wouldn't have been fooled.]" Another chimed in, "[Samson isn't blameless. He can't be seen as a victim; he's also a villain.]"

10:30 AM

Someone agreed, "[True. If Samson weren't ill-intentioned, no matter how Meghan provoked him, he wouldn't have harmed Evangeline! He's foolish and vicious.]" A netizen said, "[Meghan is so disgusting. She peed on stage]" Another commented, "[First, she defecates in public, now urinates. She's as foul as waste!]" Someone cursed, "[They both deserve to die!]" Another spat, "[Samson, kill Meghan then yourself. You're both trash!]"

The scene was chaotic. Seeing this, Dallas yelled at the staff, "Hurry! Get men on stage to separate them! I can't afford casualties, and we're livestreaming. Hurting people is unacceptable!"

Two burly staff rushed onstage and forcibly separated Samson and Meghan. Even being pulled away, Samson glared fiercely at Meghan, struggling to reach her. The staff held him firmly; he couldn't break free and could only glare.

Meghan, terrified by his gaze, stepped back, leaving a long urine stain on the floor. She covered her neck, gasping for air, fear and resentment filling her heart. She thought, 'Samson tried to kill me. He wanted to kill me over such a trivial matter. He's forsaken our sibling bond.'

Reporters below directed questions at Samson. One asked, "Samson, Evangeline is your biological sister. Why do you hate her so much? Even if you didn't grow up together, why treat her like an adversary? Throughout the livestream, you never spoke to her kindly. Why?"

Another reporter questioned, "Samson, is it true your brother Edward coerced Evangeline into signing a contract to highlight Meghan? Were you aware? Did your family know? Did you consider that if the show was filmed normally, Evangeline would face online backlash, ruining her reputation? Cyberbullying can drive people to depression or suicide. Weren't you concerned about her well-being?"

A reporter said, "Samson, were your family members aware of the potential consequences? Did you hate Evangeline so much that you didn't care about the harm, even considering using cyber violence to drive her to death?" Another asked, "Now that you know Evangeline saved you, how do you feel?"

A reporter remarked, "I don't have any questions. If the Gallagher family made their own daughter sign a contract for the adopted daughter without considering the harm, it indicates the whole family is bad. Meghan's behavior is directly influenced by your family's vicious nature."

Another reporter stated, "Exactly. The whole Gallagher family is foolish and unkind. Their blood daughter suffered for years, and when she returned, they ignored her. They gave a mansion to the housekeeper who caused Evangeline's exile. They ruined their own daughter, making her sign a contract to make the adopted daughter stand out. The whole family is sick! If there were one normal person, that contract wouldn't exist!"

Someone added, "If they didn't like Evangeline, give her money and let her live on her own. Why make her suffer? It's as if she's their enemy." Another remarked, "The Gallagher family treated their own daughter like an enemy for the adopted daughter. Their actions are astonishing." Someone else said, "It's expected for a family with questionable morals to raise someone like Meghan. If she were truly gentle, that would be unusual. How can there be a clean cloth in a dirty place! Samson, you brought this on yourself. You are not innocent. The only innocent one is Evangeline, who has been driven to madness by all of you!" Someone burst out laughing.

10:30 AM

Samson froze, as if struck by lightning. His face drained of color; his heart felt empty. He thought, 'How could these people comment on the Gallagher family like this? Is everyone in the Gallagher family bad and vicious?' He didn't want to admit it. He'd lived with his family for over twenty years. While disagreements happened, their relationship had always been good, presenting a united front. However, regarding Evangeline, they were hostile.

The day Evangeline returned, they were happy at first. But when Meghan took Evangeline upstairs, Evangeline pushed Meghan down the stairs. The family was disappointed with Evangeline, canceling her welcome banquet and letting her eat alone. To comfort Meghan, they took her out. Meghan cried, worried they'd stop loving her after Evangeline's return. To comfort her, they took Meghan on a trip for a month, leaving Evangeline alone. After returning, Meghan cried and often got hurt. When asked, she just shook her head and looked timidly at Evangeline. They thought Evangeline bullied Meghan, so they gave her the cold shoulder and treated Meghan better. Because Evangeline seemed to target Meghan, they formed a negative impression of her. Evangeline tried to please them with gifts and cooking, but they saw her as mean and envious.

Samson had been moved by Evangeline's gift and wanted to give her a chance. But that night, Meghan cried and said she was afraid he'd be taken away by Evangeline. To comfort Meghan, he broke and discarded Evangeline's gift. He saw Evangeline at his door, feeling guilty, but she said nothing, just looked at him coldly and left. She didn't ask for an explanation. Perhaps she gave up on him that day. Since then, she ignored him, only nodding politely at home.
