After they crawled for a minute, Arthur mercifully let them stand. Steven clapped his hands and said, "This seems like a good exercise. My back feels much better."

Hugo chimed in, "It does have some effect, but my hands are a little sore."

Finnegan doubted, "So, does that mean Evangeline isn't sick?"

Everyone looked at Evangeline. She scowled and said, "You guys are the ones who are sick! I'm perfectly fine!" She turned and walked back to the mansion.

Hugo trotted after her, saying, "Don't be angry. Arthur is just concerned about you, suspecting your mental state." He added, "By the way, I'm Hugo Snyder. I own an entertainment company. Since you've had a falling out with the Gallagher family, you probably won't stay with Edward's company. If you're looking for a new management company, consider mine. I'm a friend of Arthur's."

Evangeline replied indifferently, "Not interested. I'm not signing with you. Go away." She went upstairs.

Hugo was speechless. Arthur approached, grabbed Hugo by the collar, and warned, "Don't use your tricks on her. She's not someone you can mess with."

Hugo looked surprised. "Did you fall for Evangeline?"

Arthur looked down and said calmly, "No, she's just a business acquaintance."

Hugo looked contemptuous. "Don't be duplicitous. You brought her home, yet say you're not interested? Why don't we see you bringing other women home?"

Steven agreed, "That's right. You even did as she said. Only someone in love would go to such lengths!"

Arthur retorted, "If I say I was forced, would you believe me?"

Everyone looked unconvinced.

Hugo said, "Who could force you? You clearly did it willingly, savoring every moment!"

Steven added, "That's right. You didn't look forced; you looked joyful."

Arthur was speechless.

Hugo sighed regretfully, "I've been staying up late watching Evangeline's livestream. I was quite interested in her, but since you are, I'll back off."

Steven said, "I admire Evangeline immensely; I've never seen such a unique woman. Unfortunately, you beat me to it"

Arthur glared at them.

Hugo hurriedly said, "Don't look at us like that. We didn't know you were acquainted, so we were interested. That's normal. But now we've given up. You can't blame us."

Steven blinked curiously. "Evangeline was quite cold to Arthur earlier. It seems he has to put more effort into winning her over. How long do you think it will take?"

Hugo pondered, "The longest I've pursued a girl was ten days. With Arthur's conditions—handsome, good physique, wealthy—he could win any woman in a week if he made a move. In fact, with Arthur's conditions, not just women, even men would agree if he made a move on them," Finnegan added.

Steven disagreed, "Evangeline is different. It might take at least two weeks."

Finnegan countered, "I think at least a month."

Arthur knocked their heads and warned, "I just admire Evangeline. Don't make jokes about us. If you dare spread rumors, I'll cut off your tongues!"

Hugo rubbed his head and laughed, "We're just kidding. Don't get worked up."

Arthur snorted coldly. "If Evangeline sees you joking and gets angry, don't complain."

They were intimidated, having watched her livestream for seven days; the scene of her beating the monkey was enough to send shivers down their spines.

After a while, Evangeline came down in black pants, a hoodie, and a mask.

Arthur asked, "Are you going out?"

Evangeline nodded. "Yes, to take care of something."

Arthur asked, "What are you going to do? Need me to accompany you?"

Evangeline considered, "I'm going to make a police report. Can you lend me a car?"

Arthur immediately stood up. "I'll drive you."

Evangeline declined. "No need, just lend me a car."

"No, I don't like others driving my car," Arthur refused.

Evangeline was speechless and accepted his offer to drive her. Steven, Hugo, and Finnegan followed.

At the police station, Evangeline filed a complaint against Meghan and Samson Gallagher for attempted murder and shielding a criminal. The police, having watched her livestream, knew of their confession but still followed procedure. After her statement, they summoned Meghan and Samson.

Meghan, Samson, George, and Bethany arrived. George's expression turned unpleasant; he tried to slap Evangeline, shouting about ruining Meghan's reputation and suing her. The police restrained him for causing a disturbance.

George argued it was a family matter, but the police explained that physical harm was a crime, regardless of family relations.

George then noticed Arthur, realizing his rivalry with the Ferdinand Group, exacerbated by Evangeline selling her shares to Arthur. He berated Evangeline for selling the family foundation to their rivals and trying to harm her siblings.

Evangeline retorted that the whole country knew Meghan and Samson harmed her first. She was defending her interests; the Gallagher family's ruin was their own fault.

George insisted on family tolerance and forgiveness, offering her a return to the Gallagher residence if she dropped the charges.

Evangeline mocked him, stating she left of her own free will and wouldn't be tempted back. She would sue relentlessly.

George raged, blaming Bethany for bearing such a "rebellious" child. Bethany looked at Evangeline with mixed feelings, resenting Meghan yet reluctant to defy George. She pleaded with Evangeline to drop the charges. Evangeline sarcastically dismissed her plea, asking where she got the confidence to ask for a favor.

Bethany argued she was Evangeline's mother, who gave birth to her. Evangeline retorted that Bethany brought her into this world without her consent and failed to protect her. She further accused Bethany of coercion and deception to return home, offering compensation only to treat her like an outsider.

Bethany tried to justify her actions, blaming Evangeline for bullying Meghan and claiming their scolding was "tough love." Evangeline laughed at her twisted logic.

Bethany pleaded, promising to treat Evangeline well in the future if she returned. Evangeline stated she would only consider returning if the entire Gallagher family was wiped out. Bethany was furious. George blamed Bethany's bad genes.

A policeman announced Samson's confession, leading to his detention. Meghan remained stubborn but her arguments were inconsistent. George raged at Samson's accusation. Evangeline left, indifferent to their words.
