Chapter 1020: Divorce Success

Following the procedure, Little Bunny finally divorced Theodore. A sigh of relief escaped her lips. They walked out of the civil affairs bureau. Theodore was inexplicably irritable. He saw her uncontainable happiness and frowned.

Little Bunny, noticing his gaze, smiled politely. "Mr. Wold, I'll be going now."

"Aren't you riding in my car?" he asked.

"No, I don't want to waste your time."

"Are you planning on being discovered?" His voice was cold.

Little Bunny hesitated. The earlier car accident had resulted in the loss of her glasses, hat, and mask. She had returned unexpectedly, unaccompanied by her agent or assistant.

"I'll give you a ride," Theodore said, entering his car.

She got into his sedan.

"Where are we going?" he asked.

"To your house," she replied. "I'm going to pack up my things."

Years of living there meant some belongings still remained.

Theodore's face darkened. "Do you really want to divorce me?!"

"Yes," she said, without hesitation. She felt no need to preserve his dignity; he'd already squandered it.

He snorted. "You're the first woman who has ever rejected me like this!"

"Not really," she stated flatly.

His face turned livid. "All my women areโ€ฆ willing participants. You're generous with your money and talent, making you more appealing than other older men. They flock to you. But decent, married womenโ€ฆ you might find it difficult."

"Are you mocking me?" Theodore asked icily, his gaze intense.

Little Bunny hadn't wanted things to go this way. She felt Theodore had become overconfident. They were divorced; their relationship was over. Despite his flaws, he wasn't vindictive.

"I just think you're not young anymore and should consider settling down," she said, offering a slight, sincere smile.

"Little Bunny, don't forget how you climbed into my bed in the first place," Theodore sneered, recalling her ability to instantly charm people.

"Speaking of whichโ€ฆ" Little Bunny didn't want to revisit the past. She'd endured it then; complaining was pointless. Looking at him seriously, she said, "You forced me."

Theodore's eyes narrowed.

"I never intended to be with you that night. It was the effect of drugs. If I could choose, I'd rather be tortured by drugs than have any relationship with you."

"You're quite an actress! Your ability to charm people is truly impressiveโ€ฆ"

"If I wanted a relationship with you, I wouldn't have given my virginity away!" Little Bunny's voice rose; it still mattered after all these years. Nicholas's birth had been fortunate; otherwise, this would have been a lifelong burden.

"You did, though?!" Theodore's voice rose. He'd always assumed she'd lost her virginity through masturbation. He believed there were no "clean" women in show business.

Little Bunny steadied herself. "Do you care if a woman is a virgin?"

"No."

"So why bother?"

Theodore paused. He didn't care about virginity, wanting only pleasure without commitment. But with her, it was unnecessary.

"But weren't we both happy afterward?" he countered, feeling despised by her ignorance.

"That was your happiness! I've never been happy!" She finally released years of suppressed emotion.

"Little Bunny!"

"Not just unhappy, but feeling like I was dying!" she yelled. "You know I was pregnant, yet you took me to see other women to avoid your father. While I waited outside, what do you think I was doing? Praying you'd be unable to perform, so you'd never touch me againโ€ฆ"

"Little Bunny!" Theodore was furious, trembling with rage. He lunged, intending to strangle her.

"Don't touch me!" she dodged, crying, "I feel dirty."

His hand froze. She had called him dirty! Considering her profession, what right did she have?

"Last night, even if we didn't sleep togetherโ€ฆ afterward, it took me a long time to wash off the smell of your body. It made me sick," she said.

"Little Bunny! Do you believe I can kill you?" He was enraged by her audacity.

Little Bunny realized she might have gone too far, but she couldn't stop. She was tired of his arrogance.

"Stop the car!" Theodore yelled at the driver.

Little Bunny knew he'd leave her stranded. But this release was worth it. His hatred meant they'd never cross paths again.

She got out as the car pulled away, not looking back. She called Laird for a ride home, feeling relieved. Theodore sat fuming, the driver visibly embarrassed and nervous. Theodore furiously dialed Susan's number.

"It's early morning, are you crazy?" Susan answered angrily.
