Chapter 1021: I'm Going to Pursue Little Bunny!

Theodore, long accustomed to Susan’s personality, even enjoyed their banter. He bluntly announced, “I got divorced.”

“With whom?!” Susan exclaimed.

“Why do you care? Do you think I’ve been married hundreds of times?” Theodore snapped.

Susan sat up in bed. Manuel awoke and turned to her.

“Oh, almost forgot, you’ve only been married once, despite sleeping with many women,” Susan teased. “So Little Bunny finally dumped you?”

“Nonsense! I dumped her! I’ve never lacked for women. She couldn’t dump me!” Theodore’s anger flared.

“Then why are you so worked up?” Susan, knowing Theodore well, understood his temper.

“I’m not! I just wanted to celebrate with you!” Theodore stubbornly denied it. “I thought we could have a drink.”

“I’m pregnant,” Susan retorted, ignoring his attempts at saving face. “Just admit it; she dumped you, and you’re seeking comfort. Don’t worry, my lips are sealed!”

“As if you wouldn’t tell Manuel!”

“I swear!” Susan promised, immediately putting the phone on speaker.

Manuel was speechless. He found Susan adorable when she acted this way.

“You said it!”

“Though sometimes careless, I’m loyal to my friends,” Susan declared righteously. “I won’t betray you.”

Theodore agreed; Susan’s sharp tongue notwithstanding, she was true to her word, especially to Hannah. He took a deep breath and confessed, “Yes, she dumped me. She said I was dirty…”

Theodore recounted his encounter with Little Bunny, needing to confide in someone without judgment. He couldn’t confide in Oscar or Manuel, but Susan seemed approachable.

“I shower daily! I wash my hair, change clothes…” Theodore rambled.

“Little Bunny doesn’t dislike you for that,” Susan interrupted.

“I don’t understand! She’s just a third-tier actress…”

“She’s first-tier now.”

“Even first-tier, she’s still an actress!” Theodore sneered. “What gives her the right to insult me? She’s far dirtier than I am in this industry.”

“No, she isn’t,” Susan said seriously. “She’s always been clean, never doing anything shady.”

“Just because of that, with no power or influence, she made it this far?!” Theodore was incredulous.

“Manuel and I helped her.”

Theodore was surprised.

“We met Little Bunny at social events. We’d introduce her to directors and producers. I don’t know if it helped, but she worked hard and starred in popular works, earning her place.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Theodore was unhappy.

“What good would that have done? You’d never have helped her anyway.”

“She didn’t ask for my help either!”

“Exactly! Do you understand vision? People like you, lacking vision, deserve to be disliked.”

“I wanted comfort, not lectures about Little Bunny insulting me!”

“Facing reality is better than self-deception,” Susan advised kindly.

Theodore was speechless.

“Now you’re divorced, why care so much?” Susan asked. “You have plenty of women; forget Little Bunny.”

“But I found out…”

“What?” Susan asked, curious.

“Nothing.”

“Don’t tell me… you’re reluctant to let go? Or even…fallen for her?”

“Nonsense! How could I like her? I wouldn’t give up an entire forest for one crooked tree!” Theodore said fiercely. “I’m just upset! I want to strangle her.”

“Theodore, you’re not being honest!” Susan called him out. “If you had no feelings for Little Bunny, you wouldn’t care, right?”

Theodore was lost. Why was he so angry? Why was Little Bunny consuming his thoughts? He wouldn’t have called Susan otherwise.

“Give up!” Susan advised sincerely. “Don’t cause trouble. She dislikes you; trying to make peace would be humiliating.”

“When did I say I wanted peace?”

“I knew you wouldn’t tell the truth.”

“It’s not that I like her. It’s the anger!”

“Theodore…”

“I’ve decided. I’m pursuing Little Bunny!”

“Are you crazy?” Susan exclaimed.

Manuel subtly calmed her.

“I’ll make her fall in love with me, then dump her! She’s caused me frustration!” Theodore declared.

“You’re causing trouble. Besides, she’ll never fall for you.”

“Aren’t we still friends?”

“Precisely because we are, I’m telling you not to do this.”

“Shouldn’t you be supporting me?” Theodore was unhappy.

“Do you actually have feelings for her?” Susan asked.

“No.”

“Tell the truth.”

“It’s revenge!”

Susan, tired of the conversation, turned to Manuel. “Manuel, I’m hungry.”

“I’ll get food,” Manuel said, standing up.

Theodore exploded. “Susan, you weren’t supposed to tell anyone!”

“I didn’t! You spoke first! I just put the phone on speaker!”

“Susan!” Theodore roared.

Manuel quickly hung up. All that shouting wasn’t good during pregnancy.
