Chapter 1055: A Kissing Scene

Little Bunny and Addison chatted while the director approached, asking, "Are you ready?"

"Uh-huh," Addison replied.

The director confirmed, "The kissing scene laterโ€”is that alright?"

Little Bunny pursed her lips, remaining silent. Addison smiled, reassuring her, "I'm fine. You should be okay too, right?"

She smiled, then hesitantly replied, "Yeah."

"If I'm not mistaken, this is your first on-screen kiss, right?" Addison asked.

Little Bunny nodded, her face flushing slightly. "Don't worry, I just rinsed my mouth," Addison added.

Little Bunny stifled a laugh; she had too. Regardless, nothing compared to the discomfort of Theodore's kisses.

First, they filmed the scene where the heroine fell into the water. Little Bunny plunged directly into the pool. Theodore, annoyed by Little Bunny's earlier conversation with Addisonโ€”rumored to be her boyfriendโ€”felt even more unsettled seeing her fall. He wondered why she endured this hardship, choosing this life instead of the carefree existence she could have had as Mrs. Wold. He sat sullenly.

After Little Bunny fell in, Addison jumped in after her. He swiftly reached her, efficiently lifting her from the water. Both actors were professional; the scene was completed in one take.

Next was the kissing scene. Little Bunny lay on the ground, seemingly unconscious. Addison performed a standard rescue: chest compressions, head elevation, and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Their lips met.

Little Bunny was nervous, but Addison's kiss felt entirely different from Theodore's. Addison was a gentleman; his kiss was light, clean, and pure, unlike Theodore's, which always left her feeling unclean. There was little resistance.

The shoot proceeded smoothly until a furious male voice boomed, "Who allowed you to kiss her?!"

Addison broke away, internally stirred. Little Bunny's lips were soft; despite countless kissing scenes, this almost made him lose control. He turned to see Theodore, and Little Bunny also looked up at the furious man.

The director and crew rushed over, asking, "Mr. Wold, what's wrong?!"

Theodore demanded of the director, "Who authorized this kissing scene?!"

The director was confused. "It wasn't a kissing scene; it was artificial respiration, necessary for the plot."

"Necessary?" Theodore's face darkened, startling the director. He knew Theodore was there for Little Bunny, but having heard Theodore was indifferent to female celebrities and considering the scene's inevitability, he hadn't anticipated this anger. He stammered, "Either change the scene, find a stand-in, or rewrite the script! I won't allow anyone to kiss Little Bunny."

Little Bunny gritted her teeth, wishing she could silence him. She worried about her future on set, fearing everyone would assume she'd orchestrated Theodore's intervention. If Theodore tired of her and pursued another actress, she would become a target. She endured the silence, knowing words were useless; any explanation would sound hypocritical.

Theodore, showing no sign of letting her speak, pulled her to her feet. "Let's go," he said. Little Bunny looked at him, then at the others, before leaving with him.

The set's atmosphere soured. The director, furious at the interruption, threw the script down. He'd considered Little Bunny dedicated during "The Ballad," even promising her future lead roles. Now, all goodwill vanished.

"What now?" he asked, then snapped, "A kiss double! Who dares to offend him?" He stormed off.

Addison watched Little Bunny and Theodore, frustrated, his lips slightly pursed, still feeling the ghost of her lips on his. He felt a strange sense of responsibility to save her from Theodore.

Theodore roughly took Little Bunny's hand, returning to his guesthouse. He brought her to his room. "Why are you so foolish? If you don't want to film, don't! Who says actors have to film kissing scenes?"

Little Bunny looked at him, internally questioning his certainty that she would reject the scene. She was surprised by his lack of anger; she'd expected a slap.

"Even if you wanted to make me jealous, it shouldn't be this way," Theodore stated flatly.

Little Bunny was speechless, wanting to deny it. How much clearer could she be? She disliked him, wanting nothing to do with him, let alone intentionally provoking jealousy.

As she prepared to clarify the misunderstanding, Theodore gently wiped her lips, seemingly erasing traces of Addison's kiss. Little Bunny's eyes flickered; his touch was gentler than expected, yet still repulsive. She felt a strong urge to push him away.

But then, Theodore lowered his head and kissed her. She found it disgusting, nauseating. As his tongue sought entry, she clenched her teeth and, with all her strength, pushed it out.
