Chapter 1054: The Shoot

โ€œMiss Little Bunny,โ€ Tanya, her assistant, called.

How she longed for dreamland! She turned and followed Tanya to the filming location.

Just as Theodore finished vomiting, he saw Little Bunny. Before he could call out, she turned and walked away.

โ€œWomen always like to act superior,โ€ Theodore muttered. His stomach ached. He asked the driver, โ€œWhere am I staying?โ€

โ€œRight there, sir. Iโ€™ll take you,โ€ the driver replied.

Theodore followed him to a less-than-ideal homestay. He found it distasteful but, having traveled so far, wasnโ€™t picky. The owner quickly showed him to a clean, though simple, room. Exhausted, Theodore collapsed onto the bed. Heโ€™d done so much for Little Bunny, even enduring carsickness. This woman is lucky, he thought, finally falling into a sound sleep despite his discomfort.

He awoke to the approaching sunset. Sitting up abruptly, he called, โ€œSamson!โ€

He rushed out, pulling on his pants as he heard Samsonโ€™s voice. โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong? What happened?โ€

Samson, too, had been battling stomach trouble. โ€œWhat time is it? Why are you still sleeping?โ€

Samson, having slept after Theodore, felt unjustly accused. โ€œFive PM,โ€ he said, checking his watch.

โ€œFive PM?! Go ask if sheโ€™s finished work.โ€

โ€œAlright.โ€

Samson retrieved his clothes, while Theodore leisurely washed and dressed, grumbling about their accommodations.

Samson returned. โ€œCaptainโ€ฆโ€

โ€œCall me Mr. Wold outside. Keep a low profile.โ€

โ€œYes,โ€ Samson replied, doubting Theodoreโ€™s ability to remain inconspicuous. โ€œMr. Wold, I went to the set. Miss Little Bunny is still filming; many scenes, and at least another hour.โ€

โ€œArenโ€™t they tired?โ€ Theodore murmured.

โ€œWell, everyone has a job,โ€ Samson thought.

Theodore considered this, then said, โ€œLetโ€™s go check it out.โ€

โ€œOkay.โ€

They arrived at the set unhindered, thanks to Samsonโ€™s prior arrangements. Everyone showed Theodore fear and respect. He was accustomed to this, walking confidently past the camera crew. The cameraman, surprised, quickly greeted him.

โ€œDo your thing. Iโ€™ll just look around,โ€ Theodore said casually, turning his attention elsewhere.

He watched without interruption. Suddenly, the director shouted, โ€œStop! Little Bunny, youโ€™re not in character!โ€

Had Theodore not been there, she might not have lost focus. โ€œIโ€™m sorry,โ€ she apologized.

โ€œGet ready. After this, one more sceneโ€”you fall in the water,โ€ the director urged. โ€œSunsetโ€™s approaching.โ€

โ€œGot it,โ€ Little Bunny breathed, preparing herself. She glanced at Theodore, watching intently, a shiver running through her.

He smiled alluringly, leaving her speechless. She quickly looked away. Theodore smirked, enjoying this close-up view. Then, โ€œThree, two, one, action!โ€

Little Bunny immediately took character. This was Theodoreโ€™s first time watching a film shoot. Heโ€™d dated many actresses, but none had prompted this. He found it fascinating, particularly Little Bunnyโ€™s transformation in character. No wonder she pretended indifference, he thought.

โ€œCut! Get ready for the next scene.โ€

Little Bunny returned to the staging area as the crew prepared props.

Tanya handed Little Bunny water. โ€œIs Mr. Wold here to see you?โ€ she asked cautiously.

Little Bunny remained silent.

โ€œHis gazeโ€ฆ he likes female celebrities, but heโ€™s fickle. Girlfriends last a month, sometimes just a nightโ€ฆโ€

โ€œI know,โ€ Little Bunny interrupted. She knew Tanya was warning her against Theodore, but she understood his nature and wouldn't be fooled.

She composed herself before being called back to filming. She found Theodore talking with the director, clearly receiving compliments. The director discreetly left them as they moved to a pool for the scene where Little Bunny fell in and was rescued, requiring artificial respiration.

Little Bunny, previously refusing intimate scenes due to her marriage, now agreed to avoid negative publicity. Yet, with Theodore present, she felt embarrassed.

She worked opposite Addison, a familiar collaborator. Their last film, โ€œThe Ballad,โ€ had exceptionally high ratings, quickly prompting a sequel. Today's shoot involved the leads' first meeting.

โ€œTheodoreโ€™s here,โ€ Addison told Little Bunny during rehearsal. โ€œHe seems to want something from you.โ€

Little Bunny nodded.

โ€œBe careful.โ€

โ€œI know,โ€ she replied, thinking, He's just acting on impulse.
