Chapter 1070: Little Bunny's Choice

Little Bunny, alone in her dressing room, was distraught when a knock sounded on the door. Wiping away her tears, she called, "Come in," expecting Tanya.

A middle-aged man entered. Unfamiliar yet somehow familiar, he introduced himself: "The photographer for the third unit, Louie Poole."

"Do you have something to say?" she asked, masking her emotions.

"I know about you and Caroline. You've been wronged," Louie said, a hint of helplessness in his voice.

"There's nothing to be wronged about," Little Bunny replied indifferently. She expected no help and desired no hypocritical comfort.

"I have the video of your conversation with Caroline from the shoot," Louie said, a sly smile spreading across his face. "I know what she said."

Little Bunny felt a flicker of hope. The slapโ€”the source of all her problemsโ€”could finally be explained. She controlled her excitement, capable of enduring injustice, but determined to clear her name.

"Is the video with you?" she asked.

"Here," Louie smirked, "I was auditioning beforehand and accidentally recorded your conversation."

"May I see it?"

"Of course." Louie played a clip; Little Bunny and Caroline were clearly visible and audible. Her fingers trembled as she watched. Afterward, Louie offered, "I can give you this."

"How much?" she asked, pragmatically acknowledging the realities of the entertainment industry.

"Money doesn't matter," Louie said.

Little Bunny watched him cautiously.

"I've admired you for a long time. You're better than Carolineโ€”your figure, your acting," he said, a predatory smile replacing the sly one. "You know what I mean, Miss Little Bunny."

He was propositioning her.

Louie handed her a business card. "Think about it. I'll be waiting tonight. My number's on the card."

He left quickly, confident she wouldn't refuse, and wanting to avoid discovery.

Little Bunny stared at the card. Revenge warred with her principles. Years in showbiz had kept her scandal-free, apart from her relationship with Theodore.

Another knock startled her. Tanya entered.

"Stord approved your leave," Tanya said, noticing Little Bunny's despondency. "He also mentioned that continued employment depends on your publicity."

Little Bunny gripped the business card tighter. Tanya suggested, "We could ask Mr. Wold for help."

Little Bunny thought of Theodore. The choice between him and Louieโ€ฆ She found it ironic that simply acting was proving so difficult.

Leaving with Tanya, they faced the crew's scornful gazes as they headed to Theodore's location. Little Bunny reasoned she couldn't get rid of Theodore, so she might as well reduce one worry. But finding Theodore with Caroline proved her naive.

Theodore and Caroline were rehearsing lines. He patiently corrected her mistakes. She realized Caroline was preparing a video defense. Little Bunny found her both innocent and insidious. The video would portray Caroline as righteous and Little Bunny as ungrateful, benefiting Caroline while meaning nothing to Little Bunny. She watched coldly as they turned to see her.

Her phone rang. She silenced it, but Theodore and Caroline heard. Theodore rose to approach her, but Caroline urged, "Mr. Wold, please finish the video with me before you speak to her."

Theodore hesitated, seemingly eager to resolve the situation. Caroline's smile was malicious; she aimed to create a misunderstanding between Little Bunny and Theodore, preventing Little Bunny from seeking his help and shielding herself from his potential intervention.

Little Bunny took a call outside.

"All negative news about you has been blocked. What did you do?" her manager asked.

Little Bunny hadn't done anything, but possibly Caroline or Theodore had intervened.

"Did Theodore help?"

"Maybe," Little Bunny replied casually.

"With that support, hold onto it and don't cause more trouble."

Little Bunny made no promises; she knew she could only rely on herself.
