Chapter 1074: Do You Feel Guilty?
Theodore yanked open the car door, the sedan shuddering from the force. Louie, inside, stared in horrified silence, trembling uncontrollably. Theodore dragged him out. Pain shot through Louie's body, a consequence of the recent collision; he felt as if he were falling apart.
"Where did you touch her?" Theodore asked, his voice cold, indifferent, yet unnervingly calm.
Terror-stricken, Louie shook his head. "No, I didn't touch her," he stammered. A punch landed, his face blossoming with blood. Blinded by pain, he felt only Theodore's chilling gaze. Before he could recover, Theodore seized his bruised and wounded hand.
"Have you touched her?"
Louie shook his head instinctively. He felt detached, utterly terrified. He'd never imagined angering Theodore; he only knew Little Bunny was now in Theodore's care, and sleeping with Theodore's woman had seemed thrilling. Now, regret consumed him. He wished he'd never sought out Little Bunny. He couldn't fathom Theodore's response.
A sharp pain ripped through his hands; his fingers felt broken. He teetered on the brink of unconsciousness but remained aware. Theodore released his grip; Louie's hands fell limp, his fingers dislocated.
Theodore's face remained impassive. His gaze dropped to Louie's crotch. Despite his pants being on, the zipper remained undone.
"Have you used it?"
Louie's vision blurred, a mixture of tears and blood. Terror overwhelmed him. The man before him was monstrous.
Theodore rose, surveying the slumped figure against the car. His dark leather shoes were stained crimson. He delivered a brutal kick to Louie's groin. A scream pierced the air. Theodore remained unmoved, his expression frigid, as he withdrew his leg. Louie's crotch bled, yet Theodore's face betrayed no emotion. He turned and walked away.
Little Bunny watched in shock, speechless. She'd never witnessed this terrifying, bloody side of Theodore; sheโd seen him mercilessly beat Louie. She braced herself for retribution.
She watched as he approached, his stride steady, despite the recent car accident. The blood on him didn't even seem his.
Fear paralyzed her; she couldn't scream, couldn't run. She was prey, and he was the hunter. She clenched her jaw.
He stopped a step from her, gazing at her disheveled form. Her fear was palpable; her face was ashen. He raised his hand. Little Bunny closed her eyes, anticipating a blow.
Instead, she felt his fingers on her cheek, surprisingly gentle. This unexpected tenderness frightened her even more, intensifying her trembling. She had no idea what he would do.
"Little Bunny, I always thought I didn't care about these things," he said.
She opened her eyes, still trembling.
"I've slept with many women. Sex is ordinary; it doesn't require moral constraints. It's about consent and pleasure, so why the judgment?"
Little Bunny couldn't decipher his meaning, his intentions. Only terror consumed her.
"But I was wrong. I care. It's infuriating. Iโฆ Iโฆ" He looked into her eyes. "It enraged me, knowing you slept with another man."
Little Bunny nervously bit her lip, terrified.
"I was thinking in the car, what if I'd caught you two? I can't even imagine it. I might not accept it, but I don't know what I'd doโkill him, kill you, kill myself."
"Do you feel guilty?" Theodore abruptly changed the subject.
Little Bunny's eyes flickered.
"When you were with him, were you guilty?"
Little Bunny remained silent, fearing a wrong answer would be her death sentence.
