Chapter 1075: Don't Do This Again
A sudden standoff intensified the already tense atmosphere. Little Bunny trembled uncontrollably. Theodore, receiving no response, finally spoke. "I feel guilty," he admitted. "Guilty about sleeping with so many women. I feel unclean. It's like if you slept with other men, you wouldn't be clean either."
Overwhelmed by fear, Little Bunny hadn't revealed that she hadn't slept with Louie. Even if she could, she doubted Theodore would believe her.
"I never thought this way before," Theodore said, his voice icy, "but now it's deeply ingrained."
Little Bunny hadn't anticipated such a strong reaction. Was it because Theodore had never been cheated on? She regretted agreeing to Louie's demands, partly due to Theodore's response. But regret altered nothing. If Theodore sought revenge, she would accept it.
"Don't do this again," Theodore said abruptly, his fingers leaving her cheek. His oppressive demeanor lessened, but she remained cautious. He removed his jacket—a casual one concealing a blood-soaked white T-shirt—and draped it over her. Little Bunny's heart fluttered; she could almost feel his body heat.
"Put it on," he instructed.
Little Bunny, dismissing the strange feeling she'd just experienced as an illusion, quickly donned the oversized jacket, which covered her thighs. She watched as Theodore sat in the driver's seat, but he didn't immediately drive off. Hesitantly, she entered the car. Only then did he accelerate. Despite the collision damage, the car drove smoothly.
Little Bunny remained silent as Theodore drove, his expression calm yet unfriendly. He dialed a number. "Find someone to remove him from that location," he said. "If he can't be saved, cremate him." He hung up.
Little Bunny concealed her terror. In his current state, human life seemed insignificant to him.
Later, the car stopped at the inn. Tanya and Samson waited anxiously, worried after Theodore's frantic departure. Seeing him return, his car badly damaged, Samson quickly opened the door, startled by Theodore's injuries.
"I'll call a doctor," Samson offered.
"No, it's minor," Theodore interrupted coldly. "Get me emergency contraception."
Samson froze.
Theodore entered his room without explanation. Tanya helped Little Bunny from the car, looking nervous and hesitant to ask questions.
"Hurry up!" Theodore called, waiting for Little Bunny.
Startled by his voice, Little Bunny's fear was evident to Tanya, who asked if she should call the police. Little Bunny shook her head. What was the point? Theodore hadn't harmed her.
As Little Bunny entered the room, Theodore slammed the door. "Go take a shower," he commanded.
She hurried to the bathroom, wanting to avoid him, fearing he might lose control. There, she discovered bruises from her struggle with Louie. While she couldn't condone Theodore's revenge, a sense of relief mingled with conflicting emotions. She took a deep breath and relaxed.
Just as she reached for the shower, the door opened, revealing Theodore staring at her naked body, his gaze fixated on the bruises—marks of another man's touch. For the first time, he felt no desire, only anger. It consumed him.
"Wash," he said, turning away.
Left unharmed, Little Bunny experienced a surge of complex emotions. She sensed Theodore's actions went beyond mere games. She doubted any lasting attachment, much less love, would develop. Yet, she wondered if she could rely on him. Could she use his power against Caroline? Her previous reluctance stemmed from a desire to avoid him, but now, escape seemed impossible, so worrying was futile.
