Chapter 1139: Little Bunny's New Love

It was 3:00 AM when Little Bunny finished her event and returned from the yacht to Theodore's upscale house. Addison accompanied her, despite her refusal, insisting on seeing her safely home. They had been secretly dating for a month, or so they called it. Little Bunny had made it clear she couldn't be with him due to her financial dependence on Theodore.

Neither Little Bunny nor Addison wanted to offend Theodore, so they remained friends. However, at a recent business event, Little Bunny became intoxicated. Addison took care of her, bringing her home. She cried on his shoulder, overwhelmed by a confluence of emotions. The pressures of the entertainment industry, the feeling of being trapped by Theodore, and a sense of helplessness and resentment all surfaced that night. His comforting presence, coupled with her vulnerability, led to Addison again confessing his love. Little Bunny admitted reciprocated feelings but knew their relationship was impossible while Theodore remained a factor.

The next day, sober, Little Bunny confessed their situation. Though hurt and angry at their predicament, Addison promised to wait. He believed Theodore would eventually lose interest, offering hope for their future. He vowed to wait patiently.

Little Bunny, reciprocating his affection, maintained a flirtatious distance. She pondered Theodore's continued interest. Their relationship was already six months old. Had he not tired of the game? Sheโ€™d deliberately been cold, distant in and out of bed, yet his interest persisted. She even wondered if her indifference was the key to his continued fascination. Would more passion make him lose interest faster?

Ultimately, she couldn't feign passion. Arriving at the upscale neighborhood, she hesitated to exit the car. She didn't want to see Theodore; their encounters were solely for sex, a pleasure she no longer felt. Yet, she opened the door. Addison stopped her.

"Do you have to?" he asked.

Though she desperately wanted to refuse, fear prevented her. She wondered what Theodore would do if she resisted, but fear of his wrath prevented her defiance.

"Yes," she replied. "It's not just me. I'm afraid of causing trouble for you too."

"I don't care," Addison insisted.

"Addison," she pleaded, "this has been difficult. This industry is harsh. Suppression brings cruel consequences. I don't want to relive our early struggles."

He loosened his grip. She pushed his hand away, regretting giving him hope. She shouldn't have let him suffer alongside her. As she turned to leave, he pulled her back, kissing her passionately.

Initially surprised by this display of dominance โ€“ a departure from his usual respect โ€“ Little Bunny resisted, but eventually acquiesced, even responding actively at times. Their kiss was lengthy, ending only when Little Bunny pushed him away. Until her ties with Theodore were severed, anything between them would only hurt him.

Addison, eyes full of desire, watched as she wiped her lips and said, "Go home safely." She left him watching her retreating figure. When would he stand beside her without hiding or restraint?

Little Bunny entered the quiet house, a single dim light illuminating the living room. Theodore was likely asleep. Tiptoeing to their bedroom, she found him awake, playing mobile games. He was waiting.
