Chapter 1149: Her Insult
"For him, you're willing to leave the entertainment industry you love so much? Little Bunny, do you feel that deeply for him? Are you willing to do anything for him?" Theodore exploded.
The more Little Bunny defended Addison, the more intolerable it became. He longed for her denial, for her to reject Addison, embrace him, and vow to remain by his side. Instead, she constantly defended another man.
"It's not that I'm willing to do anything for Addison," Little Bunny said, her tone lukewarm. "I simply have no expectations of you. Can I resist your desires? I just don't want to involve others."
Theodore stared coldly. No expectations of him? Why not?
"Theodore," Little Bunny began, "what happened today has wounded you. You'll seek revenge. Yes, I betrayed you and deserve it. But if you're a man, target me alone. The mistake is mine; no one else needs to pay."
"What mistake?" Theodore muttered icily. "Didn't you say there was nothing between you and that man? That he was forcing you?"
"I seduced him," Little Bunny admitted, meeting his gaze. "I'm cheap; I sleep with anyone who benefits me. Addison is a talented actor; a collaboration would boost my career. I seduced him, deceived him, took advantage of him."
Theodore laughed, his fists clenched. Did she understand the potential consequences of her provocation?
"Can't I give you everything you want?" he demanded, wrathful. What did she need from other men?
"Yes, you can," she replied, "but I have no expectations. You could give me everything and take it back. How can I hope for anything from you? I don't dare ask, fearing I'll lose more than I gain. I worked hard to get where I am, and I won't sacrifice it for someone like you."
"Little Bunny!" Theodore gritted his teeth, trembling with rage.
"Let's be clear," Little Bunny said, her fear seemingly gone, replaced by defiance. She knew she'd angered him, and felt liberated. "Theodore, I despise youโno, I disgust you. I've never hated anyone as much, not even Caroline. I'm repulsed by you."
"Little Bunny, stop!" he glared, threatening her.
Little Bunny snorted, unfazed. "Do you know why I hate you? You're dirty! You called me unclean? When I was pregnant with Nicholas, you took me to bed with another woman to appease your father, forcing me to watch. I was nauseous, haunted by nightmares. Even later, your touch made me uncomfortable. I just wanted it to end."
Theodore stared, almost forgetting the incident. What had he done to evoke such hatred?
"Every time we had sex, I felt only disgust," she continued. "I hoped you'd finish quickly so I could shower. I lied to myself, saying I wasn't dirty. Do you think I'd remain faithful to you as your mistress? I'd gladly retaliate in kind!"
She only refrained from sleeping with someone else to avoid sullying them with his dirtiness.
"Finished?" Theodore asked, cold and grim.
Little Bunny laughed indifferently, awaiting his revenge.
A stinging slap landed, nearly knocking her unconscious. More would follow, she knew; she couldn't resist.
"That's for betraying and insulting me," Theodore said, his hand trembling. "Don't challenge me again!"
Her face swollen, she laughed. "Is that it? I've insulted you, betrayed you. Aren't you ashamed to keep me? Isn't it a blow to your dignity?"
"Little Bunny!" he threatened. "Settle down, or I will torture you."
"Theodore, you're more disgusting than I thought!"
"Keeping you is my greatest revenge," he said coldly.
Meeting Theodore was the greatest tragedy of her life.
