Chapter 1150: Theodore's Compromise

Little Bunny followed Theodore from the party, asking no questions and informing neither her agent nor the event organizers. She reasoned that if Theodore sought revenge, he wouldn't make it easy. Her entertainment career, she felt, was likely over.

In Theodore's car, her phone rang. Seeing her agent's name, she hesitated. Feeling numb and apathetic, she didn't want to engage. She'd given up.

"Answer the phone!" Theodore commanded coldly.

"I don't want to."

Gazing at the capital's impressive cityscape, she caught sight of herself on a riverside billboard. Her vision blurred momentarily, quickly regained composure to avoid Theodore's notice.

Theodore snatched the phone, answering while driving. "Hello?"

"Little Bunny?" The agent's surprised tone betrayed her hearing a man's voice.

"I'm Theodore," he stated. "I've taken her away."

The agent's tone shifted to deference. "Mr. Wold, I was worried about Little Bunny. Since you're with her, I won't bother you further."

"Wait," Theodore interrupted. "Does she have any upcoming work?"

"Well..."

"Tell me the truth."

The agent detailed Little Bunny's packed schedule: commercial performances, a Kensbury event, a photoshoot, an endorsement shoot, a recorded talk show, dubbing work, and a live-stream appearance.

Theodore was overwhelmed. He'd underestimated the demands on an actor.

Before the agent finished, he interrupted. "Cancel it all."

The agent was taken aback. Rescheduling would cause offense and risk rumors of Little Bunny acting like a diva. Yet, she couldn't refuse.

"I'll try. How long a break?"

"Will it affect her?" Theodore asked.

"Yes," the agent admitted cautiously. "Artists' schedules are tight, and rescheduling impacts others. It's difficult to change plans, and it could create a negative impression. But I'll do my best."

"Don't trouble yourself," Theodore said abruptly. "Complete her current commitments, then give her no more work."

"Is she quitting?" the agent finally asked.

"No. Give her a two-week break. I want to spend time with her."

Relief flooded the agent's voice. As long as Little Bunny wasn't retiring, everything was manageable. "After her current work, she'll have a week free. I won't schedule anything new. She deserves a rest."

"Okay," Theodore replied, hanging up and handing the phone back.

Little Bunny looked at him, having overheard the conversation. Was this just a vacation? Or was she still banned from the industry?

"Don't want it?" Theodore asked sarcastically. "Do you find everything I touch dirty?"

She remained silent.

"If you want to act, then do so. But Little Bunny, if you break any rules, I won't let you off!"

Little Bunny remained silent, bewildered by his sudden kindness, a kindness she didn't appreciate. Disgust was her only feeling.

"If you have problems or feel wronged, come to me," Theodore added.

She ignored him, staring out the window, unsure of his intentions, only hoping he'd leave her alone.

Silence fell. They returned to Theodore's house, showering separately. Later, lying in bed with Little Bunny beside him, Theodore noticed she wasn't properly covered. He reached to adjust the blanket, but she instinctively shifted away, pulling the blanket tighter. His hand froze, then fell.

"I'll sleep in the other room," Theodore announced, rising.

Little Bunny was surprised. She'd expected him to have sex with her, as usual. She'd braced herself, silently rejecting him, and hadn't anticipated him leaving.
