Chapter 1161: Travel (5) Getting Along

Theodore couldn't remove the sunscreen, no matter how hard he tried. Annoyed, he remained still as Little Bunny, setting down her fishing rod, approached. She carefully wiped the excess sunscreen from his face, noting the sheer quantity he'd applied. She wondered at his apparent lack of common sense. Methodically, she removed the sunscreen bit by bit.

Theodore, restless, straightened as she neared, avoiding eye contact. His gaze dropped, and he saw her cleavage. He salivated, his Adam's apple bobbing. He found her incredibly alluring. He questioned Hannah's assessment, suspecting Little Bunny was deliberately tempting him.

Lost in thought, he was startled by her announcement, "Finished." He breathed deeply, releasing the tension he'd been holding.

"Does it hurt?" Little Bunny asked, concerned about her pressure.

"Nope," Theodore replied quickly.

"Lie down; I'll apply the rest to your body."

"Do I need it on my body?" he questioned.

"You'll tan," she explained. "I prefer fair skin."

Theodore understood immediately, though she simply wished to avoid wasting the sunscreen. He lowered the chair and lay down.

"Lie on your stomach. I'll do your back; you can do the rest."

"Oh."

He turned over. As Little Bunny applied sunscreen to his back, the sensation almost overwhelmed him. He fought the urge to pull her close.

"Theodore, Theodore?" Little Bunny called several times. He was conscious but dazed. Snapping out of it, he gazed at her, close enough to smell her perfume. He couldn't resist; he pulled her down.

Startled, Little Bunny didn't struggle. Despite her changing feelings, his touch still repulsed her. She watched as he leaned closer, blocking out the sun. She closed her eyes; staying with Theodore meant accepting his advances.

Time passed. No movement from him, despite his obvious arousal. Everything froze. Little Bunny opened her eyes to see his suppressed discomfort, his struggle against temptation.

When had he become so patient? Self-gratification usually came first.

She watched as, finally, he rose, breathing deeply. Had he not seen the disgust and despair flash across her eyes, he might have continued.

Hannah had been right; Little Bunny hated him more than ever. Though she didn't physically refuse him, an aversion remained.

He left quietly. An awkward silence followed.

"Do you need the rest?" Little Bunny asked, offering the sunscreen.

Theodore nodded. "Sure."

"Apply it to your neck, chest, arms, and legs."

"Okay," he said. "Need help?"

"I already applied mine."

"Oh."

Little Bunny gave him the remaining sunscreen, washed her hands, and resumed fishing. Theodore applied the sunscreen, washed his hands, and began fishing. Silence settled until Little Bunny's rod jerked.

"Theodore!" she exclaimed.

He saw it too, helping her reel in a small fish.

"I'll get the grill," Theodore said enthusiastically.

Catching one fish had taken a while.

"Should I gut it?"

"Why?"

"There are inedible organs."

"Really?" Theodore was surprised.

"I'll do it," she said, taking the fish and entering the kitchen. Theodore followed, watching her work gracefully.

"Little Bunny, how do you know how to do everything? Don't tell me it's because of our relationship."

"A poor child grows up fast."

"Is your family poor?"

"Not wealthy."

"Where are you from? What do your parents do? I've never met them or any relatives."

He realized how little he knew.

"My parents divorced and remarried. My grandmother raised me. After she died, I came here for work, then became a trainee in entertainment."

"I never knew you had a difficult life," he said sympathetically.

Little Bunny didn't see it as difficult. But since meeting Theodore, her hope had diminished.
