Chapter 1165: Return Journey
The room was filled with hushed voices. After a long time, it was over. Theodore buried his head in Little Bunny's neck. Replaying the video, he found it difficult to recapture the initial excitement. He was also anxious about his flight. Now that Little Bunny was with him, however, he felt complete satisfaction.
Even so, a lingering sensation persisted.
"Theodore?!" Little Bunny called out, noticing he had finished.
"Um."
"We'll miss our flight."
"Um."
Theodore remained motionless.
"Theodore," Little Bunny shifted, urging him to leave. Her movement, however, reignited his desire.
Theodore gritted his teeth. "Don't move."
Little Bunny sensed his intensity in his tone and remained still.
"I'm counting down ten seconds, then I'm leaving," Theodore gasped. "Ten, nine, eight, seven... three, two, one!"
He immediately left her, as if she were a hot potato. Little Bunny, finally free, quickly opened the door and ran to her room, slamming and locking it behind her. She lowered her head and saw a sticky residue on her legs. A shower was urgently needed.
9:00 AM.
They drove to the airport in silence. Theodore avoided Little Bunny's gaze, filled with regret. The morning's events felt no different than having sex with her. He was genuinely upset and remorseful.
He pulled out his phone, seeking distraction. He messaged Hannah, recounting the morning's events. He'd been chatting with Hannah frequently lately. He found her somewhat intimidating, yet believed she was his only supporter; even his father disapproved of his pursuit of Little Bunny. Oscar and Manuel were equally negative.
His message elicited several laughing emojis from Hannah. She must be doubled over with laughter, he thought.
In reality, Hannah couldn't laugh; recent facial surgery required minimal expression. She was also managing liver pain.
Theodore was a bundle of nerves, she mused. She regretted checking his messages and replying daily.
Hannah composed herself before responding.
"It's okay. Little Bunny probably won't mind too much."
"Why? Did I offend her again?"
"Not really. You pushed yourself to the limit. She knows you'd rather do it yourself than force her. A woman would see that as respect. Though, what you didโฆ was excessive. But it should be fine."
"Really?" Theodore pressed.
"Really," Hannah affirmed. "Ease the awkwardness. You're both embarrassed. Continuing this way hinders your relationship. From what you've told me, I think she's changed her opinion of you. Her kindness isn't just fear; some of it's genuine, she just won't admit it."
"Hannah, you're my savior. If I win Little Bunny back, I'll bow down in gratitude."
"..."
"I need to talk to her."
"Don't overdo it."
"I know."
Theodore lowered his phone. Comforted by Hannah, his mood improved. He glanced at Little Bunny, who met his gaze. A blush crept onto both their faces, despite countless nights spent in bed together.
"Um, would you like some water?" Theodore offered.
"No, thanks."
"That thing this morningโฆ" Theodore hesitated.
Little Bunny shifted her gaze. "I told you I understand."
"Aren't you angry?"
"No."
"Then drink some water. It proves you're not angry."
"Hmm?"
Little Bunny took the water and sipped. Theodore breathed a sigh of relief.
The car ride normalized. Theodore initiated conversation, easing the awkwardness. They reached the airport, checked in, and boarded their eight-hour flight.
They arrived in the capital while it was still light, due to the time difference. They left the airport and entered a waiting car. Little Bunny checked her phone; several missed calls from her agent. Confused, she noted her work didn't start until tomorrow.
Before she could comment, her agent's urgent voice filled the car. "Addison's in trouble!"
"What?!" Little Bunny's face paled.
Theodore sensed the gravity of the situation.
"He was allegedly doing drugs at a bar. It's been exposed. The police are investigating, and announced evidence of drug use this morning. He's been detained."
"That's impossible!" Little Bunny was incredulous. Addison had always been exemplary.
"It's official news," the agent warned. "I'm calling to prepare you. If the media interviews you, say you're a friend but don't know much about his personal life beyond public knowledge."
Little Bunny agreed. "Okay."
"Fortunately," the agent continued, "your relationship wasn't deep. Thank God. Did you arrive home?"
"Just landed."
"I'll pick you up tomorrow. Home or Mr. Wold's?"
"Mr. Wold's."
"Seven AM downstairs."
"Um."
