Chapter 168: Hannah Was Busy
Hannah needed to thank Theodore; his favors were invaluable, and she anticipated future opportunities to utilize his services. She decided to cultivate a positive relationship. However, she wouldn't reveal her intentions. They might perceive her as manipulative. Instead, she simply stated, "You'll find out later. For now, let's sign the contract."
Howard Evans remained hesitant. Such a significant deal warranted careful consideration. Little Bunny, however, proved more decisive. "I'll sign it," she declared.
Howard Evans stared, then added, "Anyway, it couldn't be worse than our current situation. And I trust Ms. Cooper." Reassured, he agreed, "Okay then, let's sign it."
Hannah watched them sign, adding her signature, along with the necessary stamps and fingerprints. "I'll transfer thirty million to Mr. Evans's account within three days. I expect to see a brand-new, charming Little Bunny in the media next time."
"Sure," Howard Evans replied.
"By the way," Hannah continued, "Joel, a top international makeup artist, would suit Ms. Bunny's style. You might consider hiring him."
Howard Evans, despite initial hesitation due to Joel's high fees, couldn't refuse with the substantial endorsement fee secured. He also recognized Hannah's genuine concern for Little Bunny's show business prospects.
"I'll leave you to it," Hannah said. "My secretary will send Ms. Bunny's itinerary two days in advance."
"Thank you, Ms. Cooper," Howard replied.
Hannah left with Yan and Rose. The long meeting concluded, leaving Howard and Little Bunny astonished. Howard jested, "Could it be you're Hannah's long-lost sister?!" Little Bunny laughed; she wished!
After the endorsement meeting, Hannah returned to the office. Even Rose struggled to comprehend Hannah's actions. Little Bunny couldn't compete with Win; Starlight Group would eclipse Cooper Group upon announcing their spokesperson. Rose envisioned Hannah facing the Cooper Group board's wrath.
"Get me a black coffee," Hannah instructed.
Rose, choosing to await a miracleโHannah was, after all, a miracle workerโrespectfully placed the coffee down and left.
Hannah sipped her coffee and dialed a number. "Hannah?!" The voice on the other end conveyed resentment. Hannah sensed Theodore's lingering anger over Oscar's actions.
"I need a favor," she said.
"How do you know I'll help you?" he countered.
"Because you know Oscar would."
"Fuck!" Theodore cursed. "You think I wouldn't dare oppose him?"
"No. I just thought you wouldn't jeopardize your relationship with him for me."
"Are you that eloquent?" he scoffed. He wasn't obsessed with her; she, he felt, was the one manipulated.
"Fine, what is it?" Theodore conceded. He knew he couldn't risk their friendship for her.
"Win, an A-list celebrity from Bright Entertainment. I need you to expose her scandal," Hannah stated bluntly.
"She did something to you?" Theodore asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Kinda," Hannah replied. More importantly, she stood in the way of his future wife.
"Kinda?!" Theodore exclaimed incredulously. "I've heard you're kind and sweet. Around you, I find you ruthless."
"You have to be with me to know me," Hannah retorted.
Theodore, efficient, asked, "How?"
"She's having an affair with Herman Garcia, Bright Entertainment's ownerโa married man perceived as a nice guy. Expose it, and Win's career will be over. Find evidence of their affair."
"Win and Herman Garcia? How did you know?" Theodore doubted.
"I know a lot of things," Hannah laughed. "Your brother Oscar hit the jackpot with me!"
Theodore hung up, then called Oscar. "Hannah wants me to investigate Win's scandal."
"Do what she said," Oscar instructed.
"I already promised her," Theodore replied, rolling his eyes.
"I just want you to know Hannah isn't as pure and naive as you think. She knows a lot we don't. Watch out; don't crawl back to me if she screws you over." Theodore hung up, still simmering.
After securing the promotion, Hannah focused on business and investment. The ultimate goal: attracting businesses to Light Building. She and Mann selected potential clients; at least one was needed to pave the way for others. She couldn't allow inaction to squander their promotional efforts.
After careful consideration, they identified three influential brands and began developing preferential policies to attract them. Hannah worked tirelessly on this project.
