Chapter 627
Yet, Francesca would not listen. She pouted and grumbled, โAndrew, if you keep talking, Iโm going to get mad. I know you donโt want anything to do with me, but you donโt need to act like we didnโt do anything together. Why wonโt you admit it?โ
Tears welled up in her eyes, and she glared at him, full of resentment, as she asked, โAm I really so unworthy in your eyes, Andrew?โ
Andrew stood there, stunned for a moment. He sighed, knowing there was no point in explaining. The more he tried, the worse it would get. He would have to find the right time later to clear things up.
He said, โFran, donโt be angry. I didnโt mean anything by it.โ
Francesca sniffed and replied, โDonโt worry, I wonโt tell Lauren. I wonโt bring it up again, so you donโt have to feel guilty. Anyway, I need to get to the hospital for my shift. So, Iโll leave it at that!โ
Andrew asked, โDo you want me to drive you? Youโre still weak!โ
Francesca blushed and said, โIf you want to drive me, Iโd appreciate it.โ
Andrew grinned and said, โYouโre my woman now. Of course, Iโll drive you. I wouldnโt want to seem like Iโm abandoning you, would I?โ
Francesca chuckled, her face brightening with a smile. โI guess you still have a bit of a conscience!โ
Andrew felt a little frustrated. He had not gotten anything out of this situation, but now he had to bear the consequences. He really did not know who to turn to for help.
After dropping Francesca off at Jayrodale General Hospital, Andrew turned around and headed toward Rhodes Corporation. Since Nyla was at the medical center, he was not too worried.
As soon as Andrew reached Laurenโs office, he ran into a nervous Marcus, who was waiting outside.
โMr. Lloyd, you finally made it!โ
Andrew asked, โMr. Chapman, is something wrong?โ
Marcus smiled and said, โYouโre right, Mr. Lloyd. Something happened, but itโs not bad. On the contrary, itโs actually great news!โ
Andrew raised an eyebrow and said, โTell me more!โ
Marcus beamed. โMr. Lloyd, the two formulas you gave us? The first batch of samples is ready, and the results are fantastic. Itโs like a miracle drug, its effectiveness is off the charts!โ
Andrew was not surprised. He knew exactly what kind of quality his prescriptions were.
โSo if the samples are good, does that mean we can move on to mass production and get it to the market?โ Andrew asked. He had high hopes for these two prescriptions.
After all, good medicine should benefit everyone. If they kept it locked away for the rich and powerful, never reaching ordinary people, it was nothing but wasted potential.
Marcus' smile faded as he replied, frustrated, โWe canโt do mass production yet because the factory needs to prioritize Baneโs medicine.โ
Andrew raised an eyebrow. โBaneโs formulas are ready for production?โ
Marcus nodded. โYeah, itโs unbelievable how quickly Bane came up with it.โ
Andrew sneered. โEven I couldnโt come up with a useful formula in such a short time. Baneโs formulas are probably half-baked or even useless ones. Heโs just fooling the people who donโt know any better.โ
Marcus gave a wry smile. โBut Michael and Mrs. Rhodes donโt think that way. After she personally tested it, she came to me and insisted that the Pharmaceutical Division focus entirely on Baneโs formulas from now on.โ
Andrew frowned. โEven Mrs. Rhodes is on board with Baneโs formulas?โ
Marcus nodded. โItโs not just approval, itโs total praise.โ
Andrew sighed. โWell, if Mrs. Rhodes backs it, I wonโt argue. If things go wrong with Rhodes Corporationโs Pharmaceutical Division again, Mrs. Rhodes will have to take responsibility.โ
Marcus hesitated before adding, โMr. Lloyd, if Ms. Rhodes wants to compete with Michael for the CEO position, then we need to push both of our miracle drugs into production and see how they perform in the market.โ
