Chapter 379 His Beloved Treasure
Meryl used up almost all her strength, leaving a very obvious mark on Daltonโs face.
โIโm warning you one last time. Stay away from me!โ
Daltonโs eyes darkened and grew fierce.
Meryl was ruthless. His cheek was numb from the pain, and his ears were buzzing. She resisted him desperately, eager to break off relations with him.
How could Dalton accept it? He smiled helplessly, โMeryl, Iโm sorry. You forced me to do this.โ
Before Meryl could figure out his intention, two bodyguards suddenly ran out of the stairwell and blocked her way. She stepped back, her eyes wide open in disbelief.
โDalton, what do you want to do?โ
โYouโre driving me crazy. What do you think I should do? Meryl, I love you so much. I canโt let you leave meโฆโ
The bodyguards had already arrived in front of Meryl. Meryl fell into a coma.
Several men surrounded her in the stairwell, leaving her no chance to escape. Dalton quickly approached her, opened his arms, and allowed her to lean against him.
Dalton looked at Meryl with affection and obsession, as if she were his beloved treasure.
โMeryl,โ he gently stroked her cheeks with his fingers. โThis time, you wonโt push me away again.โ
At that moment, a sudden noise came from behind the door, as if someone was trying to push it open. Daltonโs eyes darkened.
He had long discovered that there was always someone secretly protecting Meryl. Without the desire to disrupt her normal social life or invade her privacy, the man always maintained a distance from her. Obviously, Merylโs long absence from his sight aroused his alarm, so he came over to find out what was going on. Dalton guessed that he should be sent by Chandler to protect her.
Dalton gestured to the two bodyguards. They had worked for him for many years and thus understood what he meant. Dalton walked away with Meryl.
The two bodyguards lit two cigarettes, stood by the stairs, and began to chat slowly.
โI know she wonโt get over Mr. Dalton Aniston after being with him for seven years.โ
โOf course she wonโt. Mr. Dalton Aniston is her first boyfriend. They love each other deeply. He was fascinated by Lydia, so she married his uncle in a fit of anger.โ
The man in black outside the stairwell subconsciously stopped pushing the door.
โShe must have regretted it this time, so she took the initiative to get back together with Mr. Dalton Aniston, right?โ
โThat should be the case. How could she easily give up their relationship that lasted so many years? Itโs great that she decides to leave Chandler. Anyway, there is no love between them. Whatโs the point of being together?โ
The man in black soon grasped the situation. No wonder Meryl had disappeared for so long. It turned out she deliberately got rid of him and eloped with Dalton! He didn't linger there any longer and turned away.
After listening for a long while, the two bodyguards heard no sound from the other side and then opened the door. It was empty. It seemed that the man was deceived by them. They smiled proudly. One of them said, โHey, our acting is so good. Mr. Dalton Aniston should give us a bonus, right?โ
The other bodyguard lit a cigarette and held it between his lips. โDamn, that was so convincing that I almost believed it myself!โ
