Chandler said indifferently, “Go ahead. I’ll wait for you here. Call me if you need anything.”

Since he had brought Rachel, he naturally had the responsibility to ensure her safety.

What he meant was that he would back her up tonight.

Rachel let out a sigh of relief and followed the staff member.

They passed through the banquet hall and arrived at a quiet corridor. There was no one around.

Rachel said anxiously, “Are we there yet?”

The staff member didn’t respond. He stopped and gestured, indicating that Rachel could go in.

Rachel pushed the door open to enter.

The staff member behind her, however, revealed a sympathetic expression as she entered.

The room was unlit, pitch black. Such an atmosphere made Rachel frown in discomfort.

The room was empty, with no one inside.

Rachel suddenly felt like she was being made a fool of.

Rachel felt strange. Suddenly, a light came on, projecting a man’s handsome profile in the halo.

Rachel was stunned. Was this Felix?

Why was he being so mysterious?

Although he had spent ten years in prison, his appearance was impeccable. Just looking at his smooth silhouette, Rachel could tell his looks were probably on par with a celebrity’s.

Rachel’s attention was drawn to him. She didn’t notice that some unknown creature was quietly approaching her.

Feeling something tugging at her skirt, Rachel looked down instinctively, and her face turned pale in an instant!

It was a snake!

At first glance, there were at least four of them. They were hissing, their eyes glowing green in the dark.

Rachel was terrified, her heart almost jumping out of her chest.

She screamed in fright, instinctively turning to grab the doorknob to run.

But the door was locked from the outside!

Why were there snakes in this hotel?

In just a few seconds, the snakes had started to climb onto Rachel.

Rachel was so scared she didn’t dare to breathe.

She wanted to get rid of them, but the more she struggled, the tighter the snakes wrapped around her!
