Chapter 485: Rachel’s Desperation

Her gaze suddenly fell on the balcony. She immediately ran over to check.

Sure enough, there was a huge pool downstairs! If she remembered correctly, the hotel’s pool was on the third floor!

But she was on the tenth floor.

Rachel thought, “Does Felix mean for me to jump from here? From the tenth floor?! What’s the difference between that and suicide?”

“Three!”

“Felix, my family was ruined because of yours. We’ve contributed a lot to your family. My father worked for your family, took the blame for your family, and in the end, he lost his life. You can’t treat me like this! How is this any different from murder? I won’t call off the engagement. I won’t oppose you anymore. Please let me go.”

“Two!”

Felix was unmoved by Rachel’s sobs, like a numb, emotionless executioner.

Rachel suddenly realized how wrong she had been, foolishly hoping for mercy from a pervert.

Felix had no heart and no emotions. He was a monster!

“One!”

After counting the last number, Felix snapped his fingers.

The snakes slithered towards Rachel again, hissing.

Suddenly, Rachel seemed to make up her mind. She gritted her teeth, stood up, and climbed over the railing.

“Felix, even if I die, I won’t let you off the hook!”

She just didn’t want to marry him.

Did Felix really want to marry her that badly?

He was so angry about it and was torturing her like this.

The next moment, Rachel jumped.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye. After a brief silence, a loud splash came from the pool below.

Rachel had climbed over the railing and plunged into the water.

Due to the great distance, the moment she hit the water, she felt as if her internal organs were about to be shattered.

It hurt so much!

She felt pain all over her body as if she was falling apart. She tasted the coppery flavor of blood in her mouth.

The guests who had not yet left the scene screamed in shock, watching this unfold.

What was happening?

Where did this person come from?

How did she just fall from the sky?

Felix glanced at the surveillance screen indifferently. Having witnessed Rachel’s jump, he didn’t even flinch.

His expression was indifferent as he said coldly, “Fool, you didn’t even understand why I was angry and thought I’d be appeased.”

He shook his head, looking speechless.

Then, Felix’s gaze fell on the emerald bracelet on the table.

“Take it down and give it to her.”

The bodyguard nodded. Having learned from the previous person’s mistake, he wouldn’t make the same error again.

“Okay, I’ll give it to Ms. Morgan right away.”

At this moment, another bodyguard reminded quietly, “Mr. Powell, Ms. Stone seems to be leaving. Do you want to see her?”

The air was briefly silent for a few seconds.

Felix looked at the surveillance screen, where Meryl had stood up and, indeed, appeared to be preparing to leave.

Felix’s voice was low, seemingly containing a tenderness he had never had before.

He raised the corners of his mouth and, after a few seconds of silence, said, “It’s been a long time since we last met. What if my appearance scares her?”

The bodyguard’s gaze suddenly fell on Felix’s legs.

He was in a wheelchair.

“But…”

Felix changed the subject, tapping a beautifully wrapped gift box on the table.

“Take this to her.”
