Chapter 586: Meryl Is Missing
Felix smiled.
He raised his phone and snapped a picture of Chandler and Rachel sitting together in the car. Then he sent it to Merylโs phone.
No reply came. Felix frowned and called her, but her phone was out of service.
Felix frowned. He felt something was off.
He looked to Philip, who stood nearby. โWhen would a phone be out of service?โ
โNo signal, I guess,โ Philip answered.
Felix thought, โNo signal? The area had strong coverage. Why would there be none now?โ
Chandler grew uneasy when Meryl didnโt appear, and he couldnโt reach her by phone. His concern deepened as a bus pulled up outside the orchestra building, letting out a group of people.
At the front of the group was Christine, looking rather pleased with herself.
โChristine, whatโs got you in such a good mood?โ
โNothing much,โ she replied, a sly grin on her face. โJust one less competitor to worry about.โ
โWhat competitor?โ Tina asked.
Christine shot her a superior glance. โNo one important.โ
Rachel, familiar with most of the orchestra, studied the crowd. โArenโt these all cello players?โ she murmured, propping her chin.
