Listen to this chapter:

I blinked innocently and looked at my in-laws. “But weren’t you the ones constantly urging me to move on from Azazel and terminate this pregnancy?” My in-laws’ expressions grew uncomfortable. Clearly, nobody likes hearing that their son is destined to die without descendants. They quickly composed themselves, but all looked at me with disapproval.

Christine sighed. “Sylvia, dear, I know this pregnancy has been difficult, and we’ve been worried about your health. Before, we suggested terminating because we wanted you to move forward. But you care so much about this baby—I don’t want you to have regrets later.”

Richard agreed. “Yes, Sylvia, have you really thought this through? You were so adamant before, saying this was Azazel’s only bloodline, refusing to even consider termination. Can you really bear to do it now? Please don’t make such decisions impulsively.”

He continued, “Of course, we’ll support whatever you choose—we just don’t want you to regret it later. As for remarrying, we certainly hope you’ll find someone good in the future. But right now, can you truly let go of Azazel?”

Listening to them, I felt a mix of emotions. It seemed not just Azazel but his parents too wanted this child. Their earlier suggestions to terminate had been empty words, assuming I would refuse because of my love for Azazel. I quickly made peace with this realization. After all, to the Winters family, I was always an outsider.

“I’m tired. I need to rest,” I said with a nod, no longer interested in arguing. I turned and went upstairs. I was definitely not keeping this child. But with their opposition, they wouldn’t easily allow me to terminate the pregnancy.

I needed to find an opportunity to leave the Winters household as soon as possible. As for my revenge against Azazel—I would take my time with that.
