Chapter 294

Cole did not expect Elvira to say such words to him. He thought his selfish act, which almost killed her, would make her hate him. He did not expect that she not only didn't hate him, but was also willing to support him unconditionally.

“Do whatever you want to do. I might not be able to help you in other aspects, but if you need money, just tell me,” Elvira emphasized. She didn't want him to have any worries.

“I’m sorry,” Cole finally admitted, sincerely apologizing.

Elvira smiled. “You don’t have to apologize. I don’t blame you. I just hope you understand that, since I’m married to Zach, I want to be with him, even if there are risks. But don’t worry, I’ll be more careful in the future. I won’t let myself get hurt so easily.”

Cole was still very sad. He knew he couldn't go back after leaving this time. Even if he wanted to abandon everything and return, those whose interests were tied to him wouldn't allow it.

“Okay,” Cole replied softly, trying to hide his bitterness and helplessness.

“You must be tired. Go and have some rest. Don’t think too much. Since we’ve already come this far, we can only look forward,” Elvira said, shrewdly guessing Cole’s situation.

Archer was shrewd and calculating; he clearly acted with purpose. Fortunately, he seemed to be on Cole's side and wouldn't harm him.

After Cole left, Honey came out of the room. She skipped to Elvira and said, “Elvira, I’m hungry. Why don’t we eat something first?”

Elvira looked at her and chuckled. “Alright, but I’m too tired now. I don’t really want food in our room. Order whatever you want. Let’s rest for a while after eating.”

Honey quickly nodded and went to order food. Elvira was really tired. Although she hadn’t moved much, she had been tense all day.

They weren't in the country where the plane was supposed to land. Uncertain factors regarding the plane remained, so no one dared to risk continuing the flight. Therefore, they landed at the first available site.

Honey ordered a lot of food. Still growing, she ate a lot. Elvira lost her appetite after eating a little. She was very worried about Zach’s situation. After eating, she went to the sofa to rest.

“Elvira, why aren’t you sleeping?” Honey asked, munching on a chicken drumstick.

Elvira smiled. “My husband will be here soon. I’ll wait for him to come before sleeping.”

When Honey heard that, she was envious. Even though she had never seen Zach before, she could imagine he was a very good man.

When Zach arrived, Elvira was a little sleepy. When she heard the knock on the door, she immediately sat up and opened it. Honey was still eating, staring at the door.

Elvira opened the door eagerly. As expected, Zach had arrived. He stood at the door, anxiety in his eyes, but it softened the moment he saw Elvira.

Elvira’s heart ached when she saw how haggard he was. She threw herself into his arms and said in a choked voice, “Zach, you’re here.”

Zach hugged her tightly and kissed her hair. Smelling her scent, he finally felt relieved. He tightened his grip on her, finding comfort in the embrace.

“I’m sorry I’m late,” Zach apologized in a hoarse voice.

Elvira shook her head. “You are not late at all. The timing is just right.”

Honey looked at Zach, still very handsome despite his haggard appearance. She hadn't expected Elvira's husband to be handsome, let alone so handsome.

At this moment, Zach realized there was someone else in the room. He frowned slightly. Honey quickly blinked and continued eating, not daring to look around. Her heart pounded after being stared at by the handsome Zach.

Elvira pulled Zach into the room. When she saw Honey, she introduced her. “Zach, this is Honey Woolridge. She’s also a passenger on the plane. She’s very capable and knows how to fly a plane. If she hadn’t flown the plane back today, we wouldn’t have known what to do.”

When Zach heard that, his expression improved a lot. He said, “Thank you.”

Honey quickly waved her hand. “No need. It was Elvira who saved my life first. I would have been a corpse by now, so you don’t have to thank me.”

Zach nodded and said nothing else.

“Honey, you should sleep for a while. I’m going back to my room,” Elvira said, pulling Zach back to her bedroom.

After entering, Zach carefully checked if Elvira was injured, afraid she had hidden injuries.

“I’m really fine. As for you, what’s going on? Why do you look so pale? Are you hiding something from me?” Elvira stopped him, holding his hand and looking at him seriously.

Zach shook his head. “I was just too worried about you and got scared. Elvira, the moment I saw your plane plummet, I felt like I was falling with that plane. Fortunately, you’re fine.”

Zach held her face, looking at her seriously as if he couldn't get enough of her.

Elvira’s heart ached seeing how helpless he looked. She kissed him so he could feel her breath.

“Zach, don’t be afraid. I’m fine. Baby is fine too. Baby and I will always be with you,” Elvira comforted him, kissing him. Tears welled in Zach’s eyes, but to avoid making Elvira uncomfortable, he held them back. They hugged, exhausted both physically and mentally from the ordeal. They lay on the bed, feeling each other's heartbeats before falling asleep.

Elvira was woken by the heat. When she woke up, she realized something was wrong with Zach; he seemed to have a fever.
