Chapter 300

Louver asked Skylar to go back with him for medicine. Skylar could have gone, but Louver had suddenly confessed to her. This made her unwilling to interact with him anymore. After all, she was devastated to be suddenly confessed to by a junior. However, for the sake of Zach and her reputation, she pretended not to care and followed him.

After they left, Elvira looked at Zach and said with a smile, “Mom is quite cute when she forces herself to calm down.”

“I hope Louver isn’t a scumbag,” Zach said worriedly.

Elvira walked over and comforted him. “I don’t think so. Louver’s an extremely opinionated person. He knows very well what he wants. Since he chose Mom, he must be sincere to her.”

“I hope so.” Zach’s emotions were indescribable. He could also see that Skylar was pretending to be calm. He hoped that Skylar would be happy in the end.

Skylar returned very quickly, Louver with her. Zach and Elvira were used to this; it was only natural since Louver wanted to pursue Skylar.

When Zach saw Louver, he felt upset. As long as he thought about this man, only a few years older than him, becoming his stepfather, he couldn't take him seriously.

Elvira didn’t think much of it. She could tell that Louver was sincere to Skylar, so if Skylar liked him, it would actually be a good thing.

Grace had also returned. She could also tell that something was wrong between Skylar and Louver. Her eyes were filled with scrutiny. Fortunately, Louver didn’t show anything; instead, he allowed her to size him up.

When Grace saw how calm he was, the grudge in her heart dissipated a lot. Elvira fed Zach medicine and accompanied him to sleep. After he slept, Elvira quietly left the room.

At this moment, Grace and Skylar were in the room; Louver had already left.

“Elvira, come over and sit. What do you think of this Louver?” Grace had already told Skylar to find a husband. Skylar was young and beautiful; there was no need for her to be single for the rest of her life. Grace felt it was unnecessary for Skylar to remain single for her and Zach.

“I think Dr. Page is quite good. Mom, you should think about it,” Elvira walked over and sat down. She suggested seriously.

“You two…” Skylar looked at them speechlessly. It turned out that what Louver said was true; she was really the only one kept in the dark.

“Mom, I’m serious. If you find someone your age or older, they’ll smell bad, right? Why don’t you find someone young and strong who can bring you to experience some new and exciting things and take care of you!” Grace said seriously.

“I agree with this idea. Mom, we’re not short of money now. You just need to be happy. If you’re happy, we can live in peace.” Elvira especially agreed with this idea.

“But I don’t want to remarry. I just want to wait for Elvira to give birth and take care of your child.” Skylar looked at them helplessly.

Chapter 300 (Continued)

Grace said, “Mom, I think this will affect my brother and sister-in-law. Look at how much Zach loves Elvira and cares about the baby. He doesn’t need you to take care of his baby. In the end, you still have to have your own life.”

“From the looks of it, Louver is a reliable man. Mom, why don’t you think about it? It’s not bad to give yourself another chance in marriage.” Elvira also felt that she and Zach could take care of their own kids.

Although there was no problem between her and Skylar at the moment, she was worried that they might have disagreements if they took care of her babies together.

Skylar listened to them and changed her mind. She felt that perhaps she could really start a new life.

One month later, Zach’s body had completely recovered under Louver’s meticulous treatment. At this time, Elvira was already more than four months pregnant. Because she was pregnant with twins, her stomach now looked a little bigger than normal.

Grace, Skylar, and Tracy Gilbert bought her a lot of maternity clothes. Elvira had recently realized that her shoes had become smaller. She was a little puzzled as to why her feet were still growing. After careful inspection, she realized that her feet were swollen.

She rubbed her swollen feet and felt a little depressed. It turned out that pregnancy was such a difficult thing. She already felt fortunate that she did not suffer from morning sickness.

Elvira suddenly thought of her birth mother. She did not know what her life was like when she was pregnant with her. She wondered what happened to her mother, which led to her being abandoned.

After the meeting, Zach rushed down to eat with Elvira. When he came in, he saw Elvira rubbing her feet. He quickly walked over and asked, “What’s wrong? Are your feet not feeling well?”

“My feet are a little swollen and my shoes are a little cramped. I have to buy a pair of bigger shoes to wear,” Elvira explained.

Zach looked at her swollen feet and said with heartache, “It’s my fault. I was too careless and didn’t notice such an obvious change. I really deserve to die.”

“Don’t make this such a big deal. Don’t talk nonsense in the future,” Elvira quickly stopped him.

“I’ll get someone to send over a pair of shoes that are a size larger for you to wear for now. I’ll get someone to make more comfortable shoes for you.” Zach took the phone and instructed someone to do it.

Looking at how nervous he was, Elvira could not imagine how nervous he would be when she was in labor. She wasn’t worried about giving birth; instead, she was worried about how Zach would react to it.

Elvira’s swollen leg alarmed everyone in the family, so Elvira received all kinds of large shoes.

“How are things going at the company? I heard from Grace that our father went against you this time?” Elvira looked at Zach and asked worriedly.

“It’s just a small matter. You don’t have to worry about it. The most important thing now is for you to recuperate.” Zach was a little angry at Grace’s big mouth. He didn’t want Elvira to be worried.
