Chapter 84

Celeste feared that Adrian might say something even more shocking, so she quickly changed the subject. “Mr. Wrenford, are you thirsty? Would you like me to get you some water?”

“No,” Adrian replied casually. “I just came by to take a look. I’m about to leave.”

“Alright then.”

After taking a few steps, Adrian came to a sudden stop. Celeste, who had planned to see him off, didn’t expect him to halt so abruptly. Her forehead met the back of his suit jacket, and she could still feel the warmth of his body through the fabric. Adrian instinctively reached out and steadied her arm as he turned. Their gazes locked, and the air between them seemed to crackle with an almost flirtatious energy for a moment.

Once she regained her balance, Adrian withdrew his hand and asked, “The grand opening is the day after tomorrow, right?”

“Yes,” Celeste quickly responded.

“I’ll have someone send you a flower arrangement to wish you a smooth opening.”

“Thank you, Mr. Wrenford.”

Celeste smiled softly, and he continued to stare at her for a while before finally looking away. It wasn’t until he entered his Maybach that she finally looked away.

Although Adrian and Damien shared the same bloodline, they felt like completely different people. Adrian seemed aloof on the surface, but his actions were as warm as the winter sun. On the other hand, Damien appeared distant and indifferent, and that was exactly how cold and unfeeling he was.

Celeste tidied up a little, then prepared to head home.

The next day, Celeste spent the entire day at the clinic, organizing all the medicines and placing them neatly in their respective cabinets. Once everything was sorted, all she had to do was wait for the big reveal.

Chapter 84 2/2

Rowan got to the clinic early on opening day, waiting for Celeste to arrive.

When Celeste looked toward the entrance, she noticed twelve floral arrangements, six on each side, arranged neatly in front of the door.

“Good morning! Ms. Celeste.”

“Good morning, Rowan.” Celeste’s gaze fixed on the floral arrangements. “Who sent all these flowers so early in the morning?”

“I happened to run into the florist when I got here, and they said they were from the business owner.”

Celeste stepped forward and spotted the card tucked into the floral arrangements. It read, “Wishing you a successful opening and smooth sailing in all your endeavors. From Elias Gray.”

The name immediately flashed through Celeste’s mind as she quickly searched her memory. The business was listed under this exact name when they signed the contract. Then, she remembered what Adrian had said the other day, and a subtle smile curled at the corners of her lips. The card bore Elias’ name, but the person who actually sent it… well, that was another matter.

“Ms. Celeste…” A sudden voice interrupted Celeste’s thoughts.

After snapping out of her reverie, she gave a faint smile and handed Rowan a set of keys. “This is for you. If you arrive early from now on, you won’t have to wait for me.”

“But Ms. Celeste, I’m still new…”

Celeste smiled gently. “It’s okay. I trust you.”

Rowan was taken aback by her smile. He stared for a few seconds before quickly breaking into a grin. “I’ll make sure to work hard and live up to your expectations, Ms. Celeste.”

Celeste inserted the key into the lock, nodding slightly. “Good.”

After the grand opening, patients started arriving one after another. Just after Celeste saw a patient out, an unexpected figure suddenly burst into view.

“Doctor, please take a look at my body. It’s so itchy!”
