Chapter Eighteen
โThe she-wolf we shall not name.โ I laugh at my wizard reference, but my dad just shook his head. โYou still watch human movies?โ
โOf course. Itโs not like there are a lot of werewolf movies out there.โ I rolled my eyes. โAnyway, nice side-step. If you want to avoid talking about your reaction to who shall not be named, then how about we talk about how we can break it?โ
โI donโt know, to be honest. But your grandmother left behind her journals you can go through.โ
โYou havenโt read them?โ
He shook his head. โShe said they werenโt for me to read. I was to give them to my daughter.โ
โShe knew me?โ
โGoddess no, she was gone long before you, but she had the ability to see things that had not come to pass yet.โ
โShe could see the future?โ My mouth dropped open.
His laughter caught me off guard. โAmy, you have lived another life, and this surprises you?โ
I guess he was right. Once you've lived one life and were reborn, seeing the future isnโt a stretch. โIโm honest, Dad. All of this surprises me.โ
โMe too. But I promise it gets easier. Go to bed. We have an early day.โ I nodded, kissed his cheek, and left.
