Chapter 529

I forced myself to shiver as the command barely grazed my toes. She snarled, "Didn't you hear me, Omega?" Pushing off her chair, she hobbled toward me, gathering her strength. "Go find the Luna and convince her to walk Shannon down the aisle, or kill yourself. There is no in-between." I heard Nix and Megan growl, but I remained impassive.

"Yes, Meg," I bowed, though her anger wasn't directed at me; Shannon's demands extended to all omegas. I turned, leaving her on her injured leg, and stumbled toward the stairs. Mรฉg snickered, missing the smirk I wore as I reached the landing. These people were easily fooled. A stupid mask, a fake scentโ€”and they forget what you look like.

It's because they never bother to truly look at those they deem inferior. Even if they see your face, you're an omega, beneath them in every way. Nix snorted. They never understood the truth. Megan shifted beside Nix. They believe whatever Vince and Brandon tell them, no matter how absurd.

I snorted, turning the corner on the bottom floor and beginning my search. I made my way down the omega wing, suspecting I'd find the pair here. I wasn't lying when I said I saw the Luna coming down here with an omega; I was simply discreet enough not to reveal her clandestine rendezvous with her rumored lover while her son and mate were occupied.

"Yes, goddess, yes. Fuck me, Tomlin. Goddess, your cock is perfection." I slapped my hand over my mouth as her ridiculous moans echoed down the hall.

I don't sound like that, do I?

Nix and Megan howled. Worried Amy? Nix's mocking laughter came first.

"Fuck me, Rowan, fill me." Megan's followed.

"Yes, pound this Luna pussy." Another scream from down the hall froze us.

"Luna pussy?" I whispered, and my wolves went wild.

"Okay, I'll grant you that," Nix snorted. "You'd never say something so ridiculous."

I assumed no one ever would. Megan cackled. Luna, pussy? As if it were some magical prize or accomplishment.

I snorted. "In this pack, it probably is," I shook my head, continuing down the hall. I paused at the door, waiting for the couple to finish. I wasn't intruding. The thought sent a shiver down my spine. Gross.

I heard a grunt, a release, then soft murmurs. That sounded like a good cue. Megan nudged me.

I grimaced, finding the door locked. A quick whispered spell opened it, and I pushed inside.

"What the fuck!" The Luna spun, half-clothed, while the omega froze in fear, pants halfway on. "Get the fuck out of here!" she screamed, realizing I was dressed as another omega.

I smiled, stepping fully into the room and closing the door. "I think not." I surveyed them. The Luna wore a slip; the white material contrasted sharply with her dusky skin. Her black hair was in a messy bun. Even slightly sweaty, she looked composed.

"I said, get out." She attempted to command, but her authority was nonexistent.

The poor omega stood in his boxers, one leg in his pants. "Finish getting dressed. I don't want to look at this any longer than necessary." I looked at the ceiling while they dressed.

"Who the fuck are you?" Her voice was confused.

"She isn't an omegaโ€ฆI can tell you that," the man whispered-yelled. "So maybe don't antagonize her," he hissed. The Luna lunged at the man, but I stepped closer, my gaze still fixed on the ceiling.

"Are you both dressed?" I waited for their confirmation before leveling her with a smile. "No, I'm not an omega. But that doesn't matter."

She glared. "What do you mean, you aren't an omega? You're dressed like one." She scoffed. "Why doesn't it matter? I'm the fucking Luna."

The omega moved behind the Luna, sensing the danger. "How about we don't antagonize the woman blocking our exit?"

"He's a smart man," I grinned, removing my mask.
