Chapter 605

I turned to see Toya sprinting full speed at us. โ€œWhat did you just say?โ€ I tried to see who she was talking about, but everyone was confused. There were too many men all crowded together.

She ran towards the group and seemed to realize everyone was in silver manacles and chained together. She stumbled to a stop next to Rowan, and she looked lost. โ€œMy mateโ€ฆโ€

โ€œWhich one is he?โ€ I looked to where my grandmother was, but, like always, she was already gone.

Toya shook her head. โ€œI smelt him, but it seems like something is blocking it now.โ€ She looked to me. โ€œIs my mate a traitor?โ€

I puffed out my lips. โ€œWell, letโ€™s figure it out.โ€ I turned back to the Elites. โ€œUnshackle anyone with a star on their brow.โ€

All of Rowanโ€™s guards started to move into the crowd. Chains dropped, but no one moved. Everyone of them was looking at me with confusion painted on their faces.

I looked at Rowan, and he chuckled before brushing a finger over my brow. โ€œSeems like the Goddess wanted everyone to know who should be trusted.โ€

I raised an eyebrow and opened my mouth, but Rowanโ€™s own forehead started to glow. A hollow crescent moon carved itself on his forehead with straight lines that arced across towards his temples. โ€œI guess so.โ€ I poked his own mark before I turned to see my dad with his phone out. โ€œDad?โ€

โ€œI need to send this to your mother.โ€ He clicked a picture of Rowan and me with a smile. โ€œIgnore me and address you men.โ€ He nodded to the waiting guards.

I rolled my eyes before turning back to the group in front of me. โ€œAnyone who was unchained, please come here, tell us your name, and who you were sworn to.โ€ I turned to Toya and held out my hand. โ€œCome here.โ€ She made her way to my side and slid her hand into mine.

Iโ€™m nervous. Her words were a whisper in my mind.

Donโ€™t be. You deserve a good mate. The Moon Goddess knows that. I sent her my thoughts, and I felt her settle.

The first man approached, and I could feel his nerves. โ€œYou are?โ€

โ€œSenith.โ€ He dropped to his knee. โ€œI was sworn to Thinius, and I havenโ€™t taken a new oath.โ€

I looked over my shoulder at Rowan. โ€œA new oath.โ€

โ€œWhen the oath taker died, while the first oath cannot be overridden, a new oath can be done. Their priorities shift, and the new oath takes precedence.โ€

I nodded once and turned back to the man. โ€œDo you want to take a new oath, Senith?โ€

He looked up in surprise. โ€œWhat?โ€

I crouched so I could look him in the eye. โ€œDo you want to take a new oath?โ€

โ€œI donโ€™tโ€ฆknow.โ€ His eyebrows furrowed. โ€œNo one ever asks us if we want to take a new oath.โ€

โ€œWell, I will never force someone to take a new oath. You have options.โ€

โ€œNot really.โ€ Silas looked down. โ€œOnce they are removed from the pack structure, they canโ€™t ever reenter it.โ€ Silas looked up, and I could see the regret in his eyes. โ€œThey would be rankless wolves with immense power. An Alpha with no one who can control them because they donโ€™t follow commands.โ€ I stood and wiped my hands together. I needed to check his words, so I decided to put them to the test.

I smirked as I unleashed my aura. It flowed out of me in a wave, and I felt it hit each wolf. โ€œBow.โ€ Every person around me bowed at their waist, all except my father and Rowan, but I could see the strain on my dadโ€™s face trying to resist the urge.

โ€œHoly Goddess,โ€ Ronnie called out. โ€œI knew you were strong, lovebug, but I havenโ€™t felt your full power since you were a kid.โ€ He tried to look at my face, but the bow was interfering. โ€œCan you pull it back?โ€

Silas grunted. โ€œI was wrong.โ€

I pulled back my power with a snort. Everyone stood back up, while a few were sweating from their bow. Toya smirked and wrapped her arm around mine. โ€œI donโ€™t think having ranked wolves outside the power structure will matter with the King and Queen.โ€

I looked at my friend with a smirk. I turned back to the wolf on his knees. โ€œYou have options, Senith, but you have to remember that you will be almost unranked in the royal pack. You will have to take orders like everyone else, as just another pack member. Or you can remain a guard and take the oath from someone.โ€ I dropped back down to look him in the eye, but the man refused to unbow his head. I lifted his chin with my pointer finger. โ€œIt will be your choice.โ€

โ€œI-I want to take the oath from you.โ€ He choked on the word, so he cleared his throat and tried again.

I nodded once. โ€œLet us get through everyone, and I will figure out this oath thing, and we can do it later.โ€ I stood and offered a hand. โ€œOkay?โ€
