Listen to this chapter:

"I don't like the room the housekeeper assigned me," Wendy said. "I wanted to switch with you."

"Oh?" Olivier smirked. "Didn't you just switch with Gwenda? Now you want to switch with me?"

Wendy was speechless. "You heard everything?"

"Brat, don't mess around. If you anger Gwenda, I won't protect you." Olivier glared.

Wendy pouted. "I was trying to help you. Since you're so ungrateful, forget it." She stormed off.

Olivier chuckled as she left. He didn't stop her, but went upstairs instead.

Wendy turned. "Didn't you say you weren't going to nap?"

"Well, I can't let you down now, can I?" Olivier's figure disappeared around the corner.

Wendy looked disgusted. "Oh, keep pretending, will you?" He clearly wanted to be with Gwenda but pretended indifference. Jeez! Still waters run deep.

Upstairs, Gwenda was unaware of Wendy's plan. Before napping, she washed her face. Exiting the bathroom, she saw Olivier.

"You"

"Why are you here?" Olivier asked.

Stunned, Gwenda replied, "Shouldn't I be asking you that?"

Olivier sat lazily on the sofa. "Wendy said her room was bad and wanted to switch with me. So, here I am."

Downstairs, Wendy sneezed. Who was talking about me?

"She said that to you?" Gwenda froze, frowning.

Olivier feigned ignorance. "What's wrong? Did she tell you that too?"

Gwenda bit her lip, realizing Wendy might be playing matchmaker. She had no desire to expose Wendy. "Maybe it was a misunderstanding. Since you're here, I'll sleep in another room." She started to leave.

Olivier spoke quickly. "The door's locked."

Gwenda's hand paused on the doorknob. "What?"

"After she sent me here, I heard her locking the door," Olivier said smoothly. "She deliberately locked us in together."

"Then what should we do?"

"I suppose that brat will only let us out after we've napped," Olivier said, gazing at her.

Gwenda's brows furrowed. "No way!"

"What? You don't want to be in the same room with me?" Olivier raised an eyebrow.

Gwenda was flustered. "This isn't good" They weren't the only ones in the house. Being locked in together if word got out, it would be disastrous!

"Don't worry, I won't do anything. Just sleep if you want to." Olivier picked up a magazine and flipped through it casually.

Gwenda looked at him suspiciously, remaining motionless.

Olivier looked up, smiling. "Are you going to stand there until she unlocks the door?"

Gwenda was speechless. After hesitating, she conceded. Standing wasn't going to help. She figured he wouldn't dare do anything in broad daylight.

Gwenda went to the bed. Seeing Olivier still engrossed in his magazine, she removed her shoes and slipped under the covers. It wasn't their first time sharing a space, but she was still nervous. Inexplicably so.

She fought to stay awake but eventually drifted off.

Olivier heard her breathing, put down the magazine, and looked up. Seeing she was asleep, he smiled and went to the bed. Gwenda was snuggled in the blanket, only her head visible. He tugged the covers slightly before sitting on the bed.

Gwenda whined. Olivier immediately blocked the light from her face. "Just sleep."

Gwenda shifted but didn't wake. A moment later, Olivier wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close. His lips brushed her cheek. "Good afternoon, Gwenda" Gwenda snuggled into him.

Olivier smiled and fell asleep. He slept well.

A few hours later, Gwenda woke. Olivier's face was inches from hers. She gasped, covering her mouth. Why was he on the bed? Didn't he say he wouldn't do anything?

Frowning, she wanted to question him but feared waking him. Quietly, she peeled back the covers, moved his arm, and got out of bed. Relieved, she put on her shoes and crept to the door.

The door opened. She slipped out, the door closing softly behind her.

Back on the bed, Olivier opened his eyes, a smug smile spreading across his face.
