Listen to this chapter:

"Hmm?" Olivier glared at Wendy. She immediately shut her mouth.

"It's none of your business, kid. Go pack your things," Olivier said, pushing her away before leaving. Wendy stumbled, gazing at his retreating silhouette. Gritting her teeth, she huffed angrily. "What's your deal? Acting all high-and-mighty!"

"Wendy" Gwenda walked in at that moment. Wendy turned to see Gwenda's red face. Grinning, she asked, "Gwenda, why are you blushing?"

"Er" Gwenda covered her face, her eyes flashing with mild panic. "Nothing. I slept too long; it got hot."

"Oh, so it's the heat, huh." Wendy clearly didn't believe her.

Feeling uncomfortable under Wendy's gaze, Gwenda coughed lightly. "Er, I'll just go back to pack my things," she said, fleeing the scene.

Wendy laughed. "Those two!" she thought. "They're quite amusing. There's clearly a connection, but they won't cross the line. It's so frustrating!"

After returning from the resort, Gwenda threw herself back into work. Eloise had confirmed the new artists she'd suggested signing. Gwenda scheduled a meeting with them.

In the meeting room, Eloise introduced the artists. "This is Gwenda Evans, Miss Evans. She will be your boss from now on. Gwenda, I don't think I need to introduce Karter Hogan to you—the newest popular actor. Next to him is Alisha Livingston, who debuted a year ago."

"Hello, pleasure to meet you," Gwenda replied, her gaze sweeping over the handsome Karter and the gorgeous Alisha. They were excellent candidates for the studio. However, Karter Hogan Gwenda remembered him from her previous life; he'd won several awards after a historical drama, becoming a top-tier actor. She hadn't expected Eloise to secure someone so powerful. How serendipitous!

"Hello, Miss Evans," Karter said, politely extending his hand.

Gwenda smiled, shaking his hand. "You don't have to call me Miss Evans. I'm younger than you, even if I'm your boss. Just call me Gwenda." She turned to Alisha. "You can call me Gwenda, too."

"Okay, Gwenda."

After greetings, they sat down. Eloise presented a document detailing the artists' recent projects.

After a cursory review, Gwenda turned to Alisha. "You've just debuted and lack acting experience. Your image isn't clear. What do you think of yourself right now?"

Alisha's demeanor became awkward. "Although I'm formally trained, I didn't get many chances at my previous company. I had to fight for small roles, so I'm unsure of my image."

Gwenda nodded. "It's normal to be unsure, as your previous company neglected you. Fortunately, you're motivated. Here, all you need to do is work hard. Consider what image you want to project for your fresh start, and let me know."

"Okay," Alisha replied, making a mental note.

Gwenda then turned to Karter. "Your recent projects seem to be all variety shows. We should turn them down." She looked at Eloise. "What are your thoughts, Eloise?"

"I didn't book any of those shows," Eloise replied, looking at Karter.

The passage ends abruptly. There is a likely typo ("Karter.000") at the end.
