Listen to this chapter:

"Miss Evans, are you really willing to let my boss be with another woman?" Otto asked seriously, looking at her.

Gwenda hesitated. Then, the woman's voice rang out: "Mr. Petit, while I believe we're compatible, I need to clarify a few things before marriage. My primary interest is wealth management, so I expect you to transfer all your assets to me for my management after we marry. Furthermore, as an only child, I want our first child to bear my surname; the second, if we have one, can bear yours. I also enjoy extensive travel, so we may not see each other often after marriage. However, I will cooperate with you as needed."

Gwenda was increasingly surprised. She'd assumed many women would be vying for a man like Olivier. But this high-powered CEO's blind date was no different from anyone else's; this woman was clearly only interested in Olivier's money and status, not him. Thinking of the other women waiting, Gwenda felt a pang of sympathy.

"Miss Evans," Otto said softly, noticing her daze.

Returning to herself, Gwenda considered this for a moment. "It's fine," she said. "Let me prepare myself."

"Oh, okay." Otto inwardly rejoiced. He'd found a capable asset! Olivier was right—Miss Evans was persuadable, not coercible. This had been the right approach.

The woman continued: "Mr. Petit, you understand how marriages like ours are—to please our parents. But I want to maintain my figure and avoid pregnancy, so I'm hoping to use a surrogate"

"Find a what?"

A clear, beautiful voice cut her off. Both the woman and Olivier looked up to see Gwenda approaching from behind the partition. She wore the latest SW diamond-encrusted high heels, her walk confident and her aura formidable. Her lovely face radiated confidence and authority.

The woman was stunned, her expression shifting to suspicion. "Who are you?" she asked.

Gwenda smiled enigmatically, walking over to sit beside Olivier. Leaning slightly against him, she eyed the woman coldly. "Who do you think I am?"

The woman paled. A flicker of amusement crossed Olivier's lips, but he remained silent.

Gwenda spoke calmly but coldly: "Miss, I've never encountered anyone like you. Why do you view your life as a mere transaction?"

"It's none of your business!" the woman retorted angrily.

Gwenda raised an eyebrow. "It's not, not directly. But it is my business when it concerns the man sitting next to me! Didn't you check if he had a girlfriend before this blind date?"

"What are you trying to say? Are you trying to drive me away? I was sent here by Madam Melanie!" the woman exclaimed, glaring.

Gwenda raised her eyebrow again. "So? I simply know that my man shouldn't spend his life with someone like you."

"You you" The woman, enraged, slammed her hand on the table, leaping to her feet. She jabbed a finger at Gwenda, speechless with fury. Finally, she clenched her teeth and stormed off.

Gwenda remained leaned against Olivier, watching her go. Once the woman was gone, she relaxed. "Finally, she's gone" she sighed in relief. She was about to sit up straight when Olivier's hands encircled her waist.

Startled, Gwenda met Olivier's gaze. They were incredibly close.

"You" she began.

"Your man? Huh?"
