Nie Wubian hadn't expected Ye Mo to be so accommodating. He'd actually been told to go kill people. Couldn't he have escaped during the opportunity?
"If you want to run, go ahead," Ye Mo said coldly.
"No, I wouldn't dare," Nie Wubian quickly responded, retreating. He knew this young man was capable of swift action. He hoped obedience would ensure his survival.
Qian He watched Nie Wubian leave to kill, his legs trembling.
"Oh, so you're feeling quite bold, are you? How does being a dog feel? Tell me, how many of Nie Wubian's men remain in Tan Du?" Ye Mo decided killing Qian He outright would be too easy.
Qian He, regaining some composure, stammered, "Everyโฆeveryone needs to return by month's end. I don't know whyโฆ"
"Since you know nothing, then die." Ye Mo unleashed a fireball, this one burning from the inside out.
Qian He, engulfed in flames, couldn't die instantly. He howled in agony, his screams unheard.
Meanwhile, Nie Wubian had killed everyone and returned with their bodies. Seeing Qian He's hopeless struggle against the fireball, a cold dread snaked through him. This man controlled fire with terrifying precision, incinerating Qian He from within.
Nie Wubian couldn't endure it any longer and fled. Suicide was preferable to Qian He's slow, burning death. This young man wasn't human; he was a devil. Nie Wubian had killed countless people, but nothing prepared him for this demonic power.
As he reached the door, a burst of fire erupted from his dantian, searing his internal organs. Unable to bear the pain, he collapsed.
Ye Mo ignored the dying Qian He, gathered his sister and He Qi, and left the mansion. From outside, he launched several fireballs, engulfing the building in flames.
The fire raged. Ye Mo sighed; he'd destroyed this mansion twice now.
Knowing people would soon arrive, he decided to leave before further trouble arose. He took his sister and He Qi away, waking He Qi near the city. Before she could react, he also took Tang Beiwei and left.

"Brother, are we out?" Tang Beiwei awoke to find herself in the city. She knew Ye Mo had taken care of everything.
Ye Mo nodded. "It's done. Do you have anything left at school? If not, let's go. I'll take you to a car race, then we'll head to Beijing. If you need something, we'll go get it."
Relieved, Tang Beiwei replied, "I have a few things and need to say goodbye to my dorm mates. Also, a schoolmate is in the hospital. She was beaten up after lending me her phone, and I haven't been able to visit her."
"Okay, let's go to the hospital first."
โฆ
Tan Kang Hospital.
Chong Yuanyuan stared at the ceiling, her future uncertain. She'd lent Tang Beiwei her phone and was left with broken legs and three fractured ribs. The doctors believed she might be wheelchair-bound for life.
At only twenty, her life was ruined. She dared not call the police, fearing worse consequences. The powerful faction responsible was far too dangerous. They'd forced another girl, Xixi, to jump to her death. While she regretted lending the phone, she didn't blame Tang Beiwei, knowing her situation was likely worse.
Chong Yuanyuan's mother's eyes were red. Her father had been beaten for suggesting they call the police. Though not seriously injured, the family knew they were no match for their attackers.
"Yuanyuan, how are you?" Tang Beiwei entered, finding Yuanyuan with a vacant stare. Regret washed over her. If not for her, Chong Yuanyuan wouldn't be in this state.
Chong Yuanyuan started, then reacted, "Beiwei? How did you get here? Why didn't you run? Who's he?" She eyed Ye Mo suspiciously, believing him to be a monitor.
Tears welled in Tang Beiwei's eyes. "Yuanyuan, this is my brother, Ye Mo. I'm so sorry, I caused this."
"He's the brother who could save you? He really did?" Chong Yuanyuan looked at Ye Mo in shock, knowing Tang Beiwei's situation.
Ye Mo approached. "Yuanyuan, hello. I'm Beiwei's brother. I apologize for what happened." He noted her pale skin and likable round face.
Yuanyuan's eyes dulled. "Perhaps this is my fate. Beiwei isn't to blameโฆ"
Despite her regret, Ye Mo appreciated her actions. She'd likely known the consequences of lending her phone but did it anyway.
"Yuanyuan, don't worry. My brother can heal your legโฆ" Tang Beiwei comforted her.
Chong Yuanyuan froze, then grabbed Tang Beiwei's hand. "Beiwei, are you serious? My leg can be treated?"
"I am. I can cure your leg, and make it stronger than before," Ye Mo interjected.
Though her bones were pulverized, Chong Yuanyuan trusted Tang Beiwei and clung to the hope of recovery.
"Yuanyuan, Dr. Liu is here. He specializes inโฆ" A distressed woman entered, stopping mid-sentence upon seeing Ye Mo and Tang Beiwei. She eyed Ye Mo warily.
Chong Yuanyuan, elated by Ye Mo's promise, quickly said, "Mum, this is my schoolmate, Tang Beiwei, and her brother, Ye Mo. He can help me."
The mother's face fell. She said nothing about her daughter's injuries being Tang Beiwei's fault.
Dr. Liu glared at Ye Mo. "Preposterous! I've never heard of anyone completely curing this. Friend, do you even have your medical degree?"
Dr. Liu clearly dismissed Ye Mo as an amateur.
"Just because you can't cure it doesn't mean my brother can't. You underestimate people," Tang Beiwei retorted, fiercely protective of her brother.
Ye Mo stopped her, turning to Dr. Liu. "Just because you can't treat it doesn't mean others can't. But yes, I haven't received my degree yet."
Dr. Liu's face hardened. "Very well, then treat her. Sister Fu, there's a more qualified doctor. Goodbye."
Dr. Liu left, followed by Chong Yuanyuan's mother. The mother was furiousโher daughter harmed, and now her expensive specialist dismissed.
A few minutes later, Chong Yuanyuan's mother returned alone.
"Mum, Brother Ye can really cure me. I don't want a prosthetic leg. I trust Beiwei," Chong Yuanyuan insisted.
Her mother sighed, helpless.
"Auntie, please don't worry. I will cure her," Ye Mo assured her.
"Sigh."
Ye Mo approached the bed. "Don't worry, I'll treat you now."
They watched in bewilderment as he produced a box of needles, seemingly conjuring them from thin air, then instructed Tang Beiwei to help him adjust the blanket.
