“I’m curious why these pirates only target our port and warships, not the land. What benefit does that provide?” Ning Qingxue, though wanting Ye Mo’s return, knew he was pursuing a breakthrough. His success would bring him back.
Xu Ping immediately said, “Sister-in-law, you misunderstand. These pirates dominate the sea but are timid on land. Even without my intervention, Sandao alone could annihilate them.”
Xu Yuehua shook her head. “Second Brother Xu, you didn’t answer Ning Qingxue. Pirates act only for their benefit. Destroying our ports and ships offers no advantage. Xu Yuehua sighed. “We can only hope Guo Qi and company can hold them off and wait for the City Lord. We can’t stop the attack otherwise. We lacked time. With a year or two, Ye Xing could design a Luo Yue that’s impenetrable. Besides, are they truly just pirates? I doubt it.”
Guo Qi and Fang Wei stood on a ship’s deck, observing the pirate ships through their telescopes. They lacked sea battle experience, despite their special forces background; their expertise lay in forest warfare.
“Brother Guo, when do you think they’ll attack next?” Fang Wei asked, his eyes red.
Guo Qi shook his head gravely. “I don’t know, but they haven’t used their full strength. Their ships are superior. Where did they acquire such vessels? Somali pirates use jet skis and rocket launchers. These pirates possess far more potent weaponry; a nation likely supports them. Unskilled in sea battles, we can only wait for Brother Ye.”
“They haven’t used their full power?” Fang Wei cried, surprised.
Guo Qi nodded. “Yes, if they attacked with full force, we wouldn’t have lasted this long. We lack a naval commander and battleships, submarines, and aircraft. Without air support, sea battles are impossible. Luckily, the pirates lack aircraft, or we’d be fleeing.”
“Captain, radar detects another attack!” A soldier reported urgently. Most marines were Li Sandao’s men, his maritime expertise exceeding Flowing Snake’s.
“Cannons ready!” Guo Qi’s face was grim. He wasn’t afraid of war, but he disliked this feeling of being suppressed.

Ye Mo had landed outside the command center, considering invisibility to avoid radar detection.
“David, have women addled your brain? This battle is simple; once Commander Shawn arrives, we’ll attack the land. Luo Yue has many beautiful women; you can enjoy them then, haha!” Louis’ joke failed to reassure David, who remained focused on the radar.
Ye Mo bypassed many marines, entering the command center. He appeared, saying, “No need to attack the land. You’re Louis? Why do you look like a pig?”
Ye Mo’s sudden appearance caused chaos. Louis, though fat, reacted swiftly, yelling, “Kill him!”
Two marines drew their guns, but before they could raise them, Ye Mo’s wind blade sliced them down. Louis stared at the bloodied bodies, speechless and shocked.
