Chapter 529: One Man Army Translator: Timothy Editor: GlobeGlotter

The sound of desperate footsteps announced more marines charging in. Ye Mo showed no mercy, cutting them down with wind blades. Now at stage 5, he felt no pressure wielding even a hundred blades simultaneously.

Louis watched his fully armed soldiers fall, one by one, unable to even rise. He lay collapsed on the floor.

David and two technical engineers inside the room witnessed the eerie scene in shock. Ye Mo hadn't killed the commanding officers yet.

The command center was bloodied, but silent.

"Does anyone here understand Chinese?" Ye Mo scanned the room.

A half-Chinese man hesitantly stood, "I'm from China. I understand Chinese."

Ye Mo looked at him with contempt. "Who's the commanding officer? Make him stop all your ships."

The man relayed the message. The fat man, Louis, responded in a language other than English. Ye Mo frowned and asked the translator, "What did that pig say?"

The man quickly answered, "He asked who you are and why you're here, killing our men. He won't surrender."

"Ohโ€”" Ye Mo waved his hand; a wind blade bisected Louis. Turning to the half-blood, he said, "Ask who else doesn't want to surrender."

The man translated; the remaining two quickly surrendered.

Ye Mo gave them black pills. "I'll keep killing those who don't surrender. After you eat theseโ€”poisonโ€”raise a white flag. True surrender earns you the antidote; otherwise, you die."

All three ate the pills and promised to surrender. Before they finished speaking, Ye Mo dashed from the command center.

"Who is he? God, he's a demon!" the tall, skinny white man said after Ye Mo left.

David sneered, "Didn't I say many in China have magical powers? This is a mutant! He was on the radar, then vanished. Li Lan, is he a mutant?"

Li Lan, the half-blood, shook his head without replying.

As the three grew anxious, Ye Mo returned. "Who's the commanding officer here?"

"Louis was highest-ranking; David is second in command," Li Lan said.

"Good. You and David come with me," Ye Mo said, pointing at the two. They followed him to the deck, notifying all crew members to gather.

"David, announce your surrender; make them disarm," Ye Mo said coldly.

The several hundred present exploded in fury. They had the advantage; one charge, and Luo Yue was theirs. Why surrender?

Many officers charged out, yelling, "Why surrender? We want to see General Louisโ€”"

Ye Mo didn't let them finish. Before they could, he sent out dozens of wind blades, slicing them in half.

The sea wind carried the smell of blood; the deck became ghastly. The boisterous scene turned eerily silent, dozens of bisected bodies lying around. This wasn't an era of common war; the bloody scene overwhelmed many marines, some vomiting.

Li Lan knew what to do. Sensing Ye Mo's dislike, he quickly called out, "This surrender was Vice Commander David's decision. Anyone who dares not surrender, step forward!"

Ye Mo nodded, pleased. He considered Li Lan lucky for his quick thinking; otherwise, he would have been the next to die.

"David, I'll leave this to you. Make them understand. You and Li Lan come to the second ship." Ye Mo went to the second ship.

Sensing the anomaly on the command ship, the other ships prepared for battle, but Ye Mo controlled the captains as before, killing those who resisted. In mere minutes, he controlled the entire fleet.

An hour later, Ye Mo had acquired a patrol ship, two chasing ships, two normal ships, and four guard ships. Two nuclear submarines escaped.

"We'll go back and attack him. He's alone!" When one ship's crew realized Ye Mo was alone, they wanted to turn back.

Ye Mo sneered, turned invisible, and reappeared on that ship.

The crew saw him on the other ship moments before, far away. How had he appeared on their ship? No one reacted.

Ye Mo knew he needed to keep killing to prevent rebellion. He'd killed thirteen; about three hundred remained. He flung wind blades, marines either killed or thrown into the sea.

A few who reacted quickly fired, but still met their fate.

The other ship's captain, also planning rebellion, instinctively ducked and dropped his gun. He felt he'd be the first to die if he fired. He screamed internally, Is this man even human? It was beyond comprehension.

Seeing Ye Mo's ferocity, many marines who'd resisted before dared not move.

One marine saw a colleague swimming toward their ship and went to throw a rope, but was sliced in half and fell into the sea.

No one dared move. Ye Mo decided that any further rebellion would result in immediate annihilation.

Guo Qi saw the incoming black ship raise a white flag. Just as he thought his sight was failing, his troops reported the same.

Guo Qi realized he'd seen correctly. Was this a scheme? What use was a white flag?

"Let's investigate," Guo Qi waved his hand.

"It's Brother Ye! I see him!" Fang Wei excitedly lowered his telescope.

Guo Qi also saw Ye Mo and grew excited. Their boss had attacked! No wonder those fearsome pirates surrendered.

"Go quickly!" Guo Qi, no longer stressed, waved his hand excitedly. It seemed Ye Mo controlled all their ships; this fleet joining Luo Yue would exponentially increase their maritime power.

Ye Mo waved his hand. "These ships are ours now. Handle the surrendered marines; kill the resisters. We'll discuss other matters back on shore."
