Chapter 561: Worse Than a Chick
Ye Mo knew Sister Yan didn't have much money, having been forced to sell her bracelet. He wouldn't take the money back, pushing it toward her again. "Sister Yan, it's just a small amount, maybe a couple thousandโ"
He suddenly felt something was wrong. The bracelet's importance to Sister Yan made its sale unbelievable. Shi Kaigen wouldn't lie, so Liu Shan must have tricked him.
"Okay, I'll take it," Sister Yan smiled, taking the card. A few thousand dollars was acceptable.
Watching her leave, Ye Mo regretted he couldn't stop her, but she had her own business.
"Sister Yan!" He called out. Despite the short time, she'd given him warmth; her affection was genuine. He was sure, even if he were a beggar, Sister Yan would hug him without hesitation.
Sister Yan turned, smiling, but Ye Mo's spirit sense detected tears in her eyes.
"Sister Yan, I live in Luo Yue City. If you want to find me, go there." He didn't know if she would, but he wanted her to.
She'd said whatever he needed to know was in his hands. Ye Mo looked at the two books: a thick, yellowed diary, and an ancient martial arts cultivation method.
Recognizing the "Ye family Qigong," he understood his familiarity with Yin Jia. Ye Zifeng practiced the same method, explaining their similar movements.
Ye Mo put the book away; he wasn't interested. Sister Yan likely knew power was crucial here, so she gave the method to Yin Jia.
He picked up the diary. As he was about to open it, a young Chinese man in his twenties rushed in, dazed, then reacting, "Who are you?"
"Yin Si's friend," Ye Mo said.
"Oh, quickly see Yin Si and Yin Jia. Something happened at the boxing ring, and I came to tell their auntโ" He noticed the youth had vanished. He rubbed his eyes, "Did I see wrong?"
...
He couldn't let anything happen to Yin Jia and Yin Si. He'd promised Sister Yan he'd look after them, so he immediately went to the underground area.
It was afternoon, the boxing ring crowded.
Ye Mo's spirit sense scanned the ring. Annie and Yin Si's hair was messy; Annie's eye was bruised. Yin Si's eyes were red, holding Yin Jia, whose mouth bled, his chest bones broken.
He was near death; even immediate hospitalization would leave him paralyzed. Why weren't they sending him? Yin Si's words clarified the situation.
"Please, I beg you, let my brother go to the hospital!" she pleaded repeatedly.
Two men in black blocked them.
"I agreed, let my brother go!" Yin Si said.
They didn't move. A woman with a cigar walked over, coldly looking at them, "You agreed, but your aunt hasn't. She has to agree too."
Ye Mo approached, putting a lotus life pill in Yin Jia's mouth.
"Mr. Ye Mo! You're back? Oh my, this is great!" Annie rejoiced, then remembered their predicament, her face falling.
"What happened, Annie?" Ye Mo asked. The two men moved to pull him away, but he didn't turn, delivering a kick. They flew over ten meters, crashing into a wall, falling unconscious.
The woman wanted to speak, but seeing Ye Mo's ferocity, retreated. He wouldn't have minded kicking her, but she left.
His actions dispersed the crowd. Everyone understood this young man wasn't someone to mess with. He'd incapacitated two men instantly.
Annie stared in shock. She hadn't expected the man she'd slightly guided to be so strong, almost godlike. She jumped, hugging his arm, "Oh, Mr. Ye, you're amazing!"
Ye Mo was speechless; her boyfriend lay beside them.
Yin Si, dazed, almost forgot her brother, then remembered he needed a hospital.
"Your brother's fine. Don't touch him; let him rest," Ye Mo said.
"Huh?" Yin Si knew his injuries, but her doubt ceased. Yin Jia opened his eyes; the bleeding stopped, a scab forming. She couldn't believe it.
"I'm fine," Yin Jia said, seeing his sister's worry.
"Jia Jia, you're fine!" Annie remembered her boyfriend and helped him.
"Hey! You may be strong, but thinking you can do whatever you want is wrong. This place is easy to enter, but not to leave," a skinny man said coldly.
"Brother Dou!" Everyone greeted him.
Ye Mo shook his head. A Yellow Level Primary Stage cultivator dared be cocky?
"Who said I'm leaving? I'm not finished. How could I leave?" Ye Mo smiled coldly, stepping before Brother Dou, grabbing his neck, and flinging him up.
Brother Dou's face turned red. He couldn't believe this was happening! He couldn't resist!
Everyone was shocked. Kicking those men was one thing, but holding Brother Dou was absurd. Brother Dou was Mesica's top master; even Edward feared him slightly. Yet, before this young man, he was worse than a chicken. The boisterous boxing ring fell silent.
Ye Mo waved, throwing Brother Dou down, "Don't worry, I'll be here a while."
