Chapter 627: Kill All

Translator: Timothy_ Editor: GlobeGlotter

Shen Qianqian saw Ye Mo wasn't hurrying, so she left first. Ye Mo's spirit sense remained locked on a man with a camera. The camera was hollow, concealing a small bag containing something larger than a fist. His spirit sense couldn't penetrate it, but he suspected a small wooden box, similar to the one concealing the woman in the ghost building.

The man looked around, seeming to sense Ye Mo's scrutiny, before entering the hall. Ye Mo withdrew his spirit sense, astonished by the man's sensitivity. Even earth-level masters wouldn't normally detect his spirit sense unless it created large chi ripples. This man, seemingly ordinary, had noticed him.

Ye Mo was ninety percent sure the box held the Five Element Rock, puzzling over its presence outside the auction. Regardless, he wouldn't let it go.

Getting up, Ye Mo realized everyone had left. He saw Shen Qianqian and hurried to catch up. Outside the hall, she was stopped by the bleak man.

“Shen family, aren't you? Boldly lending money to someone who’d steal from me. If I tell you that man, and your entire family, will die, will you regret it? Heh, I heard you’re ugly, but to me, any woman’s fine. Looks don’t matter.” Each word sent shivers down Shen Qianqian’s spine.

Despite nearby onlookers, he spoke freely. Everyone avoided him, unwilling to meet his gaze.

“You don’t care, but I do. Even toilet maggots are better-looking than you. Trying to disgust me?” Ye Mo’s voice cut through the silence.

No one dared laugh; offending this man meant risking death.

Shen Qianqian, vaguely guessing his identity, grew increasingly worried. She immediately hid behind Ye Mo.

The bleak man glared at Ye Mo, surprised by his fearlessness. He hadn't even sought Ye Mo out, yet he'd arrived.

“Hahaha!” the man laughed, “Yan Wuliang, so unknown after only a couple of years.”

His laughter lacked mirth. He paused, then said, word by word, “If I don’t make you regret living, I’m a dog.”

“Yan Wuliang? Who are you? I’ve never heard of you, but please stop insulting dogs.” Ye Mo sneered, then addressed Shen Qianqian, “Go inside, I’m burning this bug. I’ll question you later.”

While Ye Mo didn’t know Yan Wuliang, others did. Hearing his name, nearby people fled. Soon, the entire ship buzzed with discussions of Yan Wuliang, the Miao Jiang ‘Kill All,’ who murdered those who offended him, treating women especially cruelly. His cratered face was apparently the result of a rebellious Gu bug he’d killed.

To many, Yan Wuliang was a demon, perhaps kinder than he was. People didn't dare look at his victims.

Shen Qianqian, hearing Yan Wuliang's confirmation, drained of color. She looked at Ye Mo, lacking the courage to speak.

“Very well, you have balls!” Yan Wuliang snarled, enraged by Ye Mo's continued defiance.

Ignoring their surroundings, he shot black rays at Ye Mo.

Meanwhile, four people sat in a luxurious room, their faces serious: three men and a woman in her twenties, appearing academic. Two men were Asian, one a short, black man. The cameraman was among them.

“We confirmed the mind-controlling Gu buyer is Yan Wuliang of Miao Jiang. He’s confronting the bearded man about the chi stone,” the woman said.

“Sophia, have you identified the chi stone buyer? When did he arrive? We have no record,” one man asked.

“Not yet. No camera footage shows him entering the auction. He appeared suddenly, or in disguise. One more person left than entered,” Sophia replied.

The cameraman said, “He didn’t appear out of thin air. Was surveillance tampered with? Let’s not jump to conclusions. He spent a lot on our chi stone; he must be an ancient martial artist. If from a hidden sect, we can negotiate.”

Another man nodded, “We should talk, but with Yan Wuliang involved, it’s complicated. Yan Wuliang’s a madman, and this is important business, so we shouldn’t provoke him. The bearded guy likely gave the true face preserving pill to Shen Yanyan. No ordinary person could obtain that. Bobby, watch the bearded man and Yan Wuliang.”

“Yes, Captain Song Benlang,” the short black man replied, leaving the room.

The captain addressed the cameraman, “Cassy, did you feel someone watching you?”

“Yes. I felt intense scrutiny, like being seen through. I came inside immediately,” Cassy said anxiously.

Song Benlang said, “Cassy, give that to Sophia; she can put it in her bra. We must secure the Five Colored Rock.”
