Chapter 630: Not Impossible
As Ye Mo expected, the academic-looking girl struggled, then looked down, silent. Ye Mo smiled, approaching her. Before he could hug her, she shielded her chest. Both knew she was protecting something hidden in her bra.
Ye Mo lifted her arm slightly, blocking her view. “Why so nervous? I just wanted a quick look.” He wasn't interested in hugging her; he merely pretended to, quickly retrieving the item and replacing it with a spirit-sense-marked piece of gold.
It was the Five Element Rock! Excited, Ye Mo stored it in his ring, losing interest in the woman. His spirit sense mark ensured she couldn't escape.
Seeing Ye Mo move away without hugging her, the girl looked up, confused. Ye Mo smiled. “I like people with initiative. I won’t force it. If you don’t like me, never mind. I’ll be at the casino. Come find me anytime.”
He left. The woman watched him go, her expression shifting. Feeling her chest, she confirmed the item was still there, then departed.
The man Ye Mo cared about followed them. Though Ye Mo had left, his spirit sense remained on the woman. He knew she’d soon meet her friends; obtaining the Five Element Rock simplified things.
When Ye Mo reached the casino, he found Shen Qianqian sitting dejectedly in a corner, with only one chip. Six players had been at the table; now there were thirteen.
“Why aren’t you betting?” Ye Mo asked.
Shen Qianqian said, “If you hadn’t arrived, I would’ve cashed it in. This is my last ten million. If I lose, I’ll have only small change.”
“You lost forty million? And this is your only chip?” Ye Mo was surprised by her gambling “talent.”
Shen Qianqian shook her head. “Four times.”
Ye Mo was speechless. Was there a difference?
Shen Qianqian continued, “I can only use this card; I opened it in Switzerland. My Chinese cards—never mind.”
The man following Ye Mo arrived. He ignored Ye Mo and squeezed in. The dealer quickly gave him his position. Ye Mo saw the man’s Black Sun Empire emblem and sneered. ‘So they’re together,’ he thought.
“Give me the chip. I’ll bet,” Ye Mo said, taking it from Shen Qianqian.
Shen Qianqian hesitated. “I only have this. How about we exchange it for ten one-million chips?” She feared he’d lose it all at once.
“No need. What are the rules?” Ye Mo asked.
Seeing people approach, Shen Qianqian explained, “Small or big, not specific numbers. Odds are one to two. Betting on the tiger is almost a sure loss. Only eighteen counts as a tiger; other combinations are not accepted.”
Ye Mo saw the man with three dice. The odds against a tiger seemed high. He only needed to bet once.
The man placed the dice in the cup. Many strained to hear, but Ye Mo said to Shen Qianqian, “Don’t worry. I’ll bet once.”
Shen Qianqian sighed. ‘He only has one chip. Even if he wanted to bet more, he’d need more money.’
The man put the cup on the table. Bets were placed; tens of millions were on the table. Ye Mo put the ten-million chip on the tiger.
Shen Qianqian was shocked. She pulled him back. “A tiger’s never come up. You—”
“I know! But since I said once, and the tiger has the highest payout, I’m going for it.” The onlookers were speechless.
The dealer remained calm. He didn’t believe anyone could cheat under these conditions. Though no one wanted to offend Ye Mo, many laughed at his audacity.
However, a few who knew he’d gone out with Yan Wuliang and returned unharmed knew he wasn’t ordinary.
“Fine, do as you wish. It’s your money,” Shen Qianqian said.
Ye Mo saw an eight in the cup; the dice were stacked. Making three sixes was easy for him.
For fairness, a third party usually removed the cup; hands were not allowed. The bets were made, and the dealer smiled. He wasn’t worried about Ye Mo leaving. In a casino, those with money kept playing. The dealer knew the result: one six and two ones.
The cup opened; a six was on top. A young girl removed the first die, revealing a second six! The scene erupted.
Two sixes. Another six would be a tiger. The dealer’s face changed. He’d shaken for a one. How was it a six? He was sure no one could have intervened. But someone had. A master. Before the man could stop her, the girl removed the last die.
Three sixes—a tiger! Disbelief swept the table. No one believed a tiger could appear without cheating. The only suspect was the big bearded man, but he was nowhere near.
Shen Qianqian stared at the three sixes. Her face flushed with excitement; she hugged Ye Mo.
The win was 500 million USD! An unimaginable fortune. She’d worked tirelessly for years in the Shen family, earning only 200 million. Ye Mo won 500 million instantly.
