Chapter 733: Wu Wen Mountain

Although he had left Wu Wen City five days prior, Ye Mo hadn't yet entered Wu Wen Mountain. He was searching the outskirts, following a woman's map and testing his anti-poison pills. The pills proved adequate, but the mountain's entrance possessed extremely potent corrosive poison, a potency that would only increase deeper within. For safety, Ye Mo crafted head-to-toe armor using various materials. This low-grade magic artifact consumed half his Geng Metal Essence, along with Five Element Rock and other ores.

The following morning, Ye Mo stood at Wu Wen Mountain's entrance. A putrid mist seeped out, causing dizziness even with an anti-poison pill. Undeterred, Ye Mo proceeded. Even death wouldn't stop him.

Upon entering, the poison mist surged, enveloping him. A crackling sound signaled corrosion as his outer clothes dissolved.

"So powerful!" Ye Mo exclaimed, shocked.

The poison's strength raised doubts about the presence of herbs. His spirit sense revealed corrosion-resistant trees, but no spirit herbs. Ye Mo frowned, attempting flight on his flying sword, only to discover anti-air restrictions. Even aloft, flight would be severely limited. This indicated the presence of cultivators.

He tried running, encountering strong resistance. An hour later, escaping the poison mist, he understood the herbs' location. This place was a haven of boundless spirit chi, devoid of poison mist beyond a certain point. Beyond the initial layer, harvesting herbs was unrestricted.

He observed a ten-kilometer outer layer of putrid poison mist, followed by a layer of normal poison mist containing vegetation and animals. Spirit herbs were present, but only young ones; the older ones had been harvested. Ferocious beasts, strengthened by the spirit chi, roamed freely. An unseen, large formation controlled the poison mist, likely ancient in origin. He didn't need to break it.

Despite previous harvests, Ye Mo found some older spirit herbs. The area was vast; even frequent harvesting couldn't deplete it entirely. Lacking storage, he planned to return and create pills once he gathered enough.

Lost in the endless herbs, Ye Mo lost track of time, unaware of his harvest.

"This should be enough. I should return quickly and make some pills," he mused, surveying his substantial collection.

He discovered a deeper layer of poison mist, far stronger and unrelenting. This explained the inaccessibility; Yun Ziyi's claims about the Jia Lan Flower seemed dubious.

Estimating he'd spent two or three months, Ye Mo, mindful of Mu Xiaoyun's concern, decided on a quick trip to the inner layer.

He dashed in, but encountered stronger resistance, his progress snail-like. An hour's journey yielded only more poison mist, and his armor began to corrode. The high-quality materials were failing.

Should he leave? He considered it but rejected the idea. Escape wasn't guaranteed, and abandoning his current effort would be foolish.

An hour later, with his armor near dissolution, a vast expanse of green appeared: an ancient spirit herb garden! Old, even deceased, herbs were present; survivors might not be original plantings.

Ye Mo gasped, stunned by the sight: Nine Leaf Lotus, Zhou Huan Flower, Double Leaf Luo Lan, Purple Black Blue Carrot. These were herbs for high-level cultivators, used by Golden Core and Nascent Soul stage masters.

He spotted Jia Lan Flowers, surprisingly common here, relegated to the garden's outskirts.

Carefully approaching, he gathered three Jia Lan Flowers. Immediately, a powerful pressure descended; a suction force immobilized him. A black mist engulfed him, and he vanished.
