Chapter 102: I Won't Leave You

Elvis lay still on the bed, and Olive could guess he'd had a traumatic childhood. She was particularly interested in his past, wanting to know what happened between his parents. Regardless of the details, she believed he was a victim of their misunderstandings. Some people heal from childhood; others carry those wounds throughout their lives. Elvis was the latter.

Olive felt sorry for him. She reached out, hugged his waist, and nodded firmly. "Mr. Augustine," she said, "if you don't leave, I won't bother you."

Elvis's strong arms tightened around her. As Olive drifted off to sleep, she heard him whisper, "Olive, I'll definitely get better…"

The following dawn, Elvis drove Olive to the Ivory Council. Once his Rolls-Royce Phantom disappeared, Olive entered the institute. Immediately, she sensed something was wrong. All eyes were on her, accompanied by murmurs and whispers.

As she entered the pharmacy, her phone beeped. A message from North popped up: "I guess it's really hard for Olive to maintain a low profile." A link was attached.

The link led to the institute's student group. The first post featured a photo of Olive and Elvis, with the eye-catching title: "Olive's Nightly Meeting with Elvis Augustine, President of the Augustine Corporation. Is this cheating, or true love?" The photo showed Elvis hugging Olive in the Augustine Corporation's hall. Olive recognized it instantly—Divine had forwarded it earlier.

"How did this photo from Divine's phone get here?" she wondered. The poster was Divine's account. A frown creased Olive's face. She clicked on the comments:

"Olive hooked up with Elvis Augustine, the CEO?! Tell me this is a dream!"

"How could the Ivory Council admit someone like Olive?"

"So Divine exposed Olive, even though they're friends! Lol!"

"Olive should be removed from the Ivory Council immediately!"

Olive knew someone was deliberately publicizing her relationship with Elvis. She switched off her Wi-Fi, put her phone in her bag, and began to walk calmly, with a confident stride.

Many eyes followed her.

"This Olive girl is thick-skinned. She's still walking calmly after her secret's out. How arrogant!" a student muttered disdainfully.

"If I were having an affair with Elvis Augustine, I'd be even more arrogant," another girl added enviously, rolling her eyes.

Divine pushed through the crowd. "Everyone, make way, please," she said, reaching the front. Silence fell; the students anticipated drama.

"Divine, we support you! You did the right thing," a student declared.

Pamela and Greg, also present, watched silently; the students' anger was enough to punish Olive.

Divine, having seen the post, had rushed to the school. Ignoring the comments, she grabbed Olive's wrist, nervously asking, "Olive, if I tell you I didn't do this, will you believe me?"

Olive saw Divine looked pale and disheveled. "Divine, what's wrong? Why do you look like this?"

The previous night, Greg had left Divine on the highway. It had rained all night, and she now had a high fever. She was unsteady on her feet and shivering. "Olive, last night, that bastard Greg stole my phone and left me on the highway. He made that account!" she accused, pointing at Greg.

Greg remained calm. Divine had no proof. Her fever made her seem unreliable.

Greg smiled and said, "Divine, since you're slandering me, I have no choice but to tell the truth." He put his hands in his pockets and approached her. Silence again fell over the pharmacy.

"You know I don't like you and want to break our engagement. Yesterday, you begged me to reconsider, to give us another chance."

Divine was speechless, shocked by Greg's audacity. Since Divine's feelings for Greg were known, everyone believed him.

"The heart can be tricky, but Team Leader Greg doesn't like you. Give him a break," a male student suggested.

"So, Divine, after betraying Olive, you framed Team Leader Greg? Pathetic!" another student added.

Greg, the research team leader, had the upper hand. Divine was helpless, furious, and unable to refute the accusations. Pamela simply observed the unfolding drama.
