Chapter 114: What Are You Playing?
"Really?" Gwen exclaimed, her initial joy replaced by suspicion. "North, are you lying to me? Why didn't Raven give this to me himself?"
She gasped, muttering, "North Raven gave you his room key? What do you two intend to do? North, what are you doing? It's shameful to sleep with your brother!"
North tossed a wet tissue into the trash can, brushed her curly hair back, and replied, "Yeah, I'm shameless. That's how your crush likes his women. Now that you know what he likes, use your seductive skills to serve him tonight. He really likes slutty women."
She thrust the room key into Gwen's hand, ignoring her shocked expression. How could she be so presumptuous?
Gwen trembled with anger. North furrowed her brow and asked softly, "What? Don't you want the key? Fine, forget it. Plenty of women want this key. I'll give it to one of them."
North reached for the key, but Gwen held on tightly, staring at her like a frightened child, afraid North would take it away.
Gwen had always considered North her sworn enemy. Adopted into the Blue family as a child, both had entered the entertainment industry. Although Gwen was famous, North was far more beloved and cherished. Gwen had once tried to have North murdered, but the plan failed because North always traveled in a heavily secured convoy. Gwen later discovered North meticulously studied her scripts until midnight, explaining her professional performances and the praise she received from directors and investors. This only fueled Gwen's envy. North lived a luxurious life, enjoying her wealth and youth—a dream life for many women.
Gwen felt powerless against North, a feeling that overwhelmed her once again. North glanced at Gwen's ferocious expression, shrugged, and exited the bathroom in her crystal high heels.
Gwen opened Raven's door with the key card, stepping into a luxurious, exquisitely furnished room. It boasted an oversized bed and a counter laden with various brands of red wine. Raven was showering; the sound of running water filled the bathroom. Gwen's heart pounded. Her beautiful face flushed with anxiety as she caressed the soft bed. Then she heard a movement. Raven was finishing his shower.
Her heart beat rapidly. She quickly switched off the lights and hid under the bedsheets.
Raven had given the key to North because he doted on her, morbidly protective of her. But he ultimately wanted her for himself.
Gwen wondered how Raven would react upon discovering she wasn't North. She recalled North's implication that Raven liked promiscuous women. Gwen knew Raven had received a strict, traditional upbringing in the Blue family. He was cold, austere, and abstinent.
Gwen had never dared to imagine Raven's behavior in bed, yet she believed he was a man capable of passion, considering he had kept North to himself for so long.
A newfound confidence surged through her. Hiding under the duvet, she pulled down her short skirt, revealing her curves.
The bathroom door clicked open, and Raven emerged, having just taken a cold shower. He wore dark blue silk pajamas; his short hair was wet. The room was dark, but his cold black eyes instantly found the figure under the duvet.
Tossing his towel aside, he strode over, a smile playing on his thin lips. "Come out. Don't play games with me." He reached out and grasped her wrist.
Gwen's heart pounded; she shrank back, trying to evade his grasp. He quickly pulled her into his arms, his thin lips brushing her hair. His low, intense voice murmured, "I've caught you. Shall I treat you kindly?"
The words weakened Gwen's knees. She hadn't known the gentle Raven could be so forceful.
Raven narrowed his crimson eyes, then widened them, realizing something was amiss. "Who are you?" he asked, certain the woman in his arms wasn't North.
A sinister look darkened his handsome features. With a swift movement, he smashed a wall lamp against the wall.
