Chapter 113: Waiting for You
After North kicked Raven, he took a step back and released his grip on her. North turned to open the door, but Raven hugged her from behind before she could reach the doorknob. She felt his lips brush against her curly hair. Turning around, she found herself trapped in his embrace. He pressed her against the door, leaned in, and kissed her.
North's eyes widened as Raven's lips covered hers. She immediately pushed him away forcefully, but his chest felt like an unyielding wall. His fingers tangled in her curls, gripping the back of her head. Gritting her teeth, North refused to open her mouth. After a moment, Raven released her, his nose pressed against her face. He muttered hoarsely,
"Open your mouth."
North glared at him.
"You're disgusting. If you want to kiss someone, find someone else."
Raven frowned, his handsome eyelids slightly heavy.
"You're not obedient, are you? Open your mouth. I want to kiss you."
"I assume you haven't touched a woman in two years, hence your inability to control your desires," North retorted angrily.
Raven's lips tightened, his cold black eyes darkening.
"Isn't that the truth? You're always monitoring me. Not even a male mosquito can get close. Are you afraid I'll sleep with another man?"
Facing her defiant expression, Raven said, "It's been so many years. After raising you, how can I allow others to take you away?"
"Raven, if you're sick, see a doctor! Oh, I just remembered Olive has excellent medical skills. I'll tell her to—"
Raven interrupted, "Olive, Olive, Olive! What's with you two? You're always together. Is there something going on between you?"
"You lunatic!"
"Can't two friends hold hands?" North pushed his face away.
Raven scoffed and shoved something into her hand.
"There."
North looked down to see the room key. Gwen and the other women had competed to win his room key—a key he readily gave to North.
"I don't want it!" North returned the key. "Stop dreaming. I won't come to your room!"
"Later tonight, come to my room and dance that sexy dance for me. I want to see you move seductively," Raven said in a low, seductive tone, his teeth slightly biting his lower lip. "Raven, I won't come! You're my brother!" North protested vehemently. "My brother? But I don't remember my mother giving birth to you," Raven muttered sarcastically.
"North, you're an adult now. I don't want to be your brother. I want to be your man!" He added firmly.
North slapped his face. He grabbed her wrist, pinning it against the wall, and kissed her again.
"I don't only want to watch you dance. I want to hug you and watch you do a striptease."
North was dumbfounded.
"Raven, are you in love with me?" she asked calmly.
Raven stiffened.
"You desperately want to sleep with me, but you don't dare fall in love with me because that's reserved for Pamela, right?" North's eyes searched his for an answer.
Raven slowly released her, a cruel smile playing on his lips. He patted her face.
"Didn't your mother like to spend the night in my father's bed? I'm offering you the same opportunity. Except you don't have to sneak in like she did."
A chill ran through North. She felt as if she were falling into an abyss.
"Keep my mother's name out of your mouth!" North clenched her fists, her reddened eyes glaring at him.
Raven watched as tears welled in her eyes. Whenever he bullied her, she was unable to fight back. His phone rang; it was Pamela.
Raven looked at North. "I'm expecting you tonight."
He answered the call, then left the bathroom. "Okay, Pamela, I'll be there in a moment," his voice came from outside.
In the ladies' room, North splashed cold water on her face. Seeing the key on the counter, her anger flared. Gwen entered, her envy of North palpable.
"North, you were with Raven, but a single phone call from Pamela took him away. What's the point of being around him if he doesn't like you?" Gwen said angrily.
North turned off the faucet and pointed to the key.
"What's this?"
Gwen's eyes widened. It was Raven's room key.
"North, why do you have Raven's key?"
North wiped her hands, her expression indifferent.
"Oh, Raven asked me to give this to you. You can go to his room tonight."
