Chapter 11: Olive's 20th Birthday

Outside the gate, Patrick and Monica received word that the elderly resident of the Red Villa would attend Olive's birthday party. Monica immediately called Pamela with the good news, who was delighted.

They returned to their luxurious car. Patrick called Olive, who answered, "Hello, Dad."

"Olive, your twentieth birthday is in two days—you and Pamela share the same birthday. I'm preparing a party for you; please attend."

"Okay, thank you, Dad," Olive replied.

After hanging up, Patrick sighed in relief. Everything was ready; all they awaited was the birthday.

"Patrick, don't worry. Pamela always handles things well. In two days, she'll be announced to the world as Mrs. Augustine," Monica whispered, snuggling into Patrick's arms.

Since a recent scandal, Patrick and Monica had slept in separate rooms. Monica had been waiting for an opportunity to reconcile. Now, with Pamela's plans progressing smoothly, Patrick was happy, but he hadn't forgotten Monica's past actions. He pushed her away.

"Monica, stay away from me. Have you forgotten what you did? Stay away"

"Patrick," Monica said, placing her hands on his chest and then sliding them down. Her expression was one of pitiful innocence. "Yes, I was wrong. It's all my fault. For our daughter's sake, please forgive me. You're about to become the father-in-law of the richest man in Los Angeles. I promise to be faithful to you."

Monica had maintained her appearance over the years; she possessed a feminine charm. Patrick was hesitant to accept her apology, but considering her contributions to Pamela's life, he relented.

The Hart family was filled with joy and anticipation. Olive hung up and laughed, "North, there are many people waiting for my downfall. I can't wait for their disappointment."

"You've been waiting a long time, haven't you?" Olive replied.

It was Olive's birthday. At 12:00 a.m., Olive's phone beeped. A message appeared: "Mrs. Augustine, happy birthday. I wish you all the best."

Olive hugged her phone, feeling happy. Mr. Augustine had stayed up to send her a birthday wish. "Thank you, Mr. Augustine," she responded.

Another message arrived: "Close to the window?"

"What do you mean?" Olive got out of bed, walked to the window, opened the curtains, and looked out. She was awestruck by the fireworks illuminating the sky.

North entered with a tray of noodles. She stood beside Olive, taking a deep breath. "So, he lit up the entire city for you," North murmured in admiration.

Olive's phone beeped again: "Hope you like it, my lady."

Olive ate noodles while watching the fireworks, smiling as she felt blessed to have Elvis. Samantha and the dean also sent their wishes. Olive felt happy; her loved ones hadn't forgotten her. Her heart was filled with the love she'd longed for.

Early that morning, Olive rushed to the six-star hotel. Social media was already buzzing.

"I witnessed history! To celebrate Pamela's birthday, President Augustine lit up the entire city with fireworks!"

"I heard President Augustine will attend Pamela's party."

"Mr. Augustine and Pamela should get married already!"

"I heard Olive's 'ghost husband' from the Red Villa will be there. There'll be a show!"

Olive saw many people anticipating drama. She entered the hotel, where Pamela's fans were already gathered, holding flowers and cheering. Olive saw Pamela surrounded by female celebrities.

"Pamela, Mr. Augustine's love is so romantic! Lighting up the entire city with fireworks!"

"I knew Mr. Augustine was temporarily confused by that Olive. You're his true love."

"Pamela, don't forget us when you become Mrs. Augustine!"

The celebrities laughed. Pamela, in an elegant floral dress and crown, looked like a princess. She had a sweet smile. Elvis had promised a surprise, but she hadn't expected this.

Now that Pamela was trending again, celebrities who had previously ridiculed her were now fawning over her. It felt good.

Pamela saw Olive and smiled. "Olive, are you mad I lit up the entire city?"
