Chapter 187: Elvis's Past
Before the media and the entire city of Los Angeles, Olive declared her desire to bear two children for Mr. Augustine.
Bounty's expression soured immediately. Marvin's smile vanished, his mouth tightening. He looked at Olive.
All the reporters turned to see Elvis, impeccably dressed in a black suit. He hadn't left after dropping Olive off; he'd watched her step into the spotlight. To him, she was a radiant princess, and he, her devoted audience.
Upon hearing her wish to give him two babies, the cold aura surrounding him dissipated instantly. Even the reporters who'd been preparing to leave noticed the dramatic change in his demeanor. The man who had seemed like a dormant wild beast instantly became docile. Olive had achieved this shift with just a few words.
One reporter mused, "She's acquired a new skill: human taming."
Olive's bright eyes met Elvis's handsome gaze. Embarrassed by his stare, she blushed, blinking rapidly and muttering, "What are you looking at? I just want to give you two babies!"
Elvis saw only Olive. Countless women adored him, but she was the only one who so earnestly desired to give him children. She'd included him in her future plans; medicine was her passion, and he, her dearest.
The reporters buzzed excitedly. They hadn't intended to pair Olive and Marvin romantically; they simply found them cute together. One reporter asked, "Mr. Augustine, your wife, Olive, said she wants to give you two children. When do you plan to start a family?"
The press conference ended successfully. In the hallway, a large hand grasped Olive's slender waist. Elvis pressed her against the wall.
Olive smiled, pushing against his chest. "Mr. Augustine, what are you doing? If the reporters see us like this, the headline will be 'President Augustine and Olive Can't Wait to Make Babies!'"
He held her waist tightly, murmuring, "Mrs. Augustine, stop causing trouble. How can a virgin have a baby? If you're serious about children, then tonight…"
Olive quickly covered his mouth, preventing him from finishing. His heart softened. She used sweet words to coax him, and all he wanted was to… He kissed her palm and her fingertips.
The Substitute Bride: Doted by My Billionaire Husband
Olive blushed. Elvis's kisses felt more erotic than the previous night. She quickly withdrew her hand, humming, "Mr. Augustine, I'm not joking. I want to give you two babies, just wait and see!"
He kissed her forehead. "It seems I'll have to work harder. I'll give you my heart and make more money to raise our children."
Closing her eyes, she enjoyed his magnetic presence. "Mr. Augustine, you're so sweet."
A cough. Dean Sebastian, Bounty, and Marvin entered, having witnessed their make-out session. Marvin remained impassive; Bounty's displeasure was evident; Dean Sebastian seemed to relish the gossip.
Elvis touched Olive's head. "You're still tender, my dear. We'll talk about this again."
Dean Sebastian urged, "Olive, Marvin, let's not waste time. Old Mrs. Robert's condition is critical. Let's discuss the surgery plan."
Marvin entered the suite. Olive turned to Elvis. "Do you want to go back to the company?"
He lowered his eyes. "Do you want me to?"
She shook her head. "Have your secretary send your documents here. I want you to wait for me."
"Okay," he murmured, his eyes adoring.
She waved goodbye and entered the room. Elvis and Bounty remained outside, silent.
Two hours later, the surgery plan was finalized. Olive exited the hotel room, only to find Elvis gone. Bounty approached.
"Olive, I have something to tell you. I know you're married to Elvis, but you don't know anything about him, about his past."

Olive remembered Elvis's warning about his aunt revealing his past. She looked at Bounty. "Aunt, you want to tell me about Elvis's past?"
"Yes, Olive, you need to know that Elvis is ill. He…" Bounty's words were cut short by Elvis's arrival.
