Chapter 186: Twins for Mr. Augustine
Everyone looked at Pamela in shock. It turned out she had been admitted to Holy Nile Academy through back channels, while Olive had received a personal invitation from the principal.
The media reporters handed Pamela a microphone.
“Pamela, what do you have to say? Your medical skills are superficial, and your academic qualifications are fake. What do you have to say about this?”
“Monica, were you aware that your daughter, Pamela, gained admission to Holy Nile Academy through favoritism, not merit?”
“Mr. Hart, is Pamela still the daughter you’re proud of?”
Patrick and Monica wanted to respond, but they were speechless.
The media continued to focus their cameras on the trio. Monica and Patrick felt so embarrassed they wanted to disappear.
“That’s enough!” Monica muttered, covering her face in humiliation.
Pamela froze, her body numb. For years she had worked hard to climb the social ladder. After becoming a top socialite in LA and graduating from Holy Nile Academy, she thought her life was about to take off. However, she soon realized her hard work and dedication had been wasted. The world she had built crumbled before her.
Pamela looked at the reporters, seeing their ridicule and hostility.
“Go away! I’m not granting any interviews! Stay away from me!” she screamed.
Dean Sebastian approached Olive. “Olive, the press conference is over. Let’s go to the business room and discuss the surgery plan.”
Olive looked at Pamela remorselessly. Since arriving in Los Angeles, she had vowed to repay her family for their past actions.
Marvin also attended the press conference, remaining low-key. He walked over to Olive, his cold eyes softening slightly as they rested on her.
Bounty smiled. “Olive, you probably didn’t know, but Marvin also graduated with first-class honors from Imperial University. Like you, he received a scholarship at thirteen, but he didn’t pursue a doctorate. His medical record was broken by you.”
Dean Sebastian added, “Olive, Marvin is still your senior, though. I think fate has brought you both together again.”
Olive looked at Marvin. They were both Imperial Medical University graduates; he was her senior, and she had surpassed his record.
Little wonder his eyes were filled with warmth and surprise as he stared at Olive. Marvin was young, extremely handsome, and always the top of his class. Tonight, he was dressed in a crisp white shirt.
The media reporters turned their cameras to Olive and Marvin.
“Wow, so Academician Marvin and Olive attended the same university. Little wonder you both rescued that man on the street.”
“People online think you two would make a perfect match if Olive weren’t married.”
Bounty agreed, believing Olive and Marvin would have been a good couple if Elvis weren’t involved. She noticed a tall figure at the back of the hall—Elvis. She wondered what he was thinking. She knew he was mentally unstable and easily agitated; when stimulated, he became monstrous. If Olive saw that side of him, she would be terrified.
The reporters felt a chill as they saw Elvis at the back of the hall. His face was dark, conveying a sinister aura. His cold eyes fell on Marvin and Olive. The reporters shivered and wanted to flee.
Olive, in the middle of the crowd, seemed oblivious. Elvis had left Imperial City young; few knew Bounty was his aunt.
A reporter passed Olive the microphone. “Olive, can you tell us about your future plans?”
Olive pondered, then replied, “My hopes are simple. I want to pursue my medical career and become as good as Academician Marvin.”
Marvin smiled at her praise. Bounty straightened her back, sighing in satisfaction.
Olive continued, her voice filled with shyness and joy, “Besides my career, I also want to hold onto my love. I want two babies for my Mr. Augustine.”
